#1 top rated interpretation:I think this song is talking about a girl giving away her virginity or as alec portrays it as her treasure. she gave away her youth for a bit of pleasure that lead her to get pregnant unable to enjoy her youth. the wolf is the boy disguised as an innocents sheep trying to sleep with the grl.

I'm not so sure about this one but I'm guessing this girl trusted this boy so much and he ended up basically stabbing her in the back, made her life living hell.
