Alec Benjamin: Let Me Down Slowly Meaning
Song Released: 2019
Let Me Down Slowly Lyrics
I can feel you fade away
From the kitchen to the bathroom sink and your steps keep me awake
Don’t cut me down, Throw me out
Leave me here to waste
I once was a man with dignity and grace
Now I’m...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:This song could be someone talking about a loved one dying and asking for sympathy and ease to recover from it. "I can't stop myself from falling, down". This can be saying that the death is causing them to be clumsy and fall all the time. As others say, yes, it can also be from a breakup. "If you wanna go, then I'll be so lonely." This is saying that once they leave, the victim of the breakup will be lonely with no-one to lean on.

#2 top rated interpretation:Yes this could easily be interpreted as a break up however this could be a hint to concern about his or someone’s mental health as it talks about “the kitchen to the bathroom sink” and I believe most people could gather what could be meant.

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:This song is inspired by his personal experience of his first love. He felt like he was at her mercy, he just wants her to leave but he's asking her to be gracious while doing so

I think this song is talking about love and breakup
His girlfriend is leaving him and she is comfortable with it, while he isn't. He is seeing her fade away and he is pleading that she find a way to let him down slowly: sounds like she is still there but she is loving him out of pity. -
The first part of the song "this night.......your steps keep me awake" means he is lonely. Ever since she left he has been moving up and down without focus from the kitchen to the bathroom and thinking about her.
The second part "don't cut me down........I once was a man with dignity and grace" on it own means she shouldn't leave him all alone with no hope and in doom. And that he was once respected for their relationship(when the were in love). -
In my opinion, this song is referring to his lover who is no longer giving him attention or perhaps their love has gone "cold" and he doesn't want to initiate the break-up. That's why he said he can feel her fade away... So he told her not to "leave him here to waste" and if she wanna go he'll be lonely.
-
I feel like his girlfriend doesn't have feelings for him and she is doing something that really hurts him but then he is saying that if she wants to go ,she should let him down slowly
-
Could you find a way to let me down slowly?
A little sympathy, I hope you can show me
If you wanna go then I'll be so lonely
If you're leaving baby let me down slowly -
In my opinion, its about a boy who finds out his girlfriend/boyfriend is cheating, then he wants them to break up with the boy, but he wishes that the person has sympathy. In the song when it says "From the kitchen to the bathroom sink and your steps keep me awake" this kinda hints to me that the person is cheating.

Someone be DYINGGGGGG!!!!!!!☠☠☠
so basically someone's wife, or girlfriend isn't in the greatest health and the man is asking her to tell him what's going on so that his emotional pain can be lessened. He doesn't want her to go, but he's saying that if she must go, to help him ease his way through it. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

This is a sad song a really sad one this really hits me hard it's hard to lose someone you love or care it's sad.
-
Sounds more like death. Kitchen to the bathroom sink (throwing up?) Somebody sick walking back and forth. if you leave me let me down slowly. I'll be so lonely. He needs to know the truth.
