Avenged Sevenfold: A Little Piece of Heaven Meaning
A Little Piece of Heaven Lyrics
For me to take what's mine, until the end of time?
We were more than friends, before the story ends,
And I will take what's mine, create what
God would never design
Our love had been so strong for...

How can you define it, Jimmy was epicly awesome and crazy when he wrote a song about a man how kills the women he loves and keeps the body later In the song she comes back to life from the grave and kills the guy. He asks for forgiveness and she grants him one chance and the get married on a murderess rampage.
I live and miss you Jimmy
P.s. For those who don't know Jimmy is the rev ( the best drummer who ever walked this earth) -
Its about getting revenge on the person you "Love" then spending all eternity with them.

This song revolves around a story. Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan wrote this song which just makes it beautiful.
Here is how the story goes:
A boy friend proposes to his long time girlfriend who says no. The guy gets mad and goes on a rage. He ends up stabbing her and ripping out her heart. He eats her heart and then goes and "misbehaves" with the body. He then sews up the gashes from the stabs so her body doesn't bleed out to much. Later when he is watching TV, the girlfriends body gets possessed and goes and kills the guy. She rips his heart out and eats it. Then his body gets possessed. They then make up for all that they did, and decide to get married. At the wedding they get married and then go on a killing spree. They kill everyone at the wedding and go on to get the rest of the people.

A song about a couple that the girl messes with the dude. The Dude finally kills her and she comes back to kill him and does.
Then they make up have a wedding and kill everbody.
The End -
It's about a man who proposes to his girlfriend, his girlfriend denies, the guy becomes a necrophiliac, and cuts his girlfriend heart out, and rapes her dead body. Later on, the girl comes back to life as a zombie, and chases him, and cuts his heart out, then rapes him. he becomes a zombie, and then they love each other again, and gets married, and kills a bunch of other people @ their wedding, and spend the rest of their dead unnatural together.

(even more expanded)interpretation. It is about an incident of domestic violence gone too far. The girl refuses to marry him because of whatever he has done to her previously, (possibly rape, as the lyrics describe sex being “better than when she was sleeping” )and laughs defiantly in his face. At first he appears melancholic over the rejection, but disguises it with rage as all batterers do. He senses and fears at this moment that he is losing control of her and wishes to demonstrate authority.
This display of strength, freedom and independence annoys the man greatly, so he stabs her 50 times. “Conjuring her deepest fears” refers to the intimidation found in these relationships. That'll teach her to disobey! Of course, now that she is dead, she will never be able to refuse him anything again which is illustrated by the necrophilic rape of her corpse. "Is it such a crime to take what's mine?" i.e. Her life which he believes to be his property and entitlement. When he“took all possibility” from the victim it was the ultimate display of power and control. He sees his "little crime" as trivial, reflecting his attitude towards women. He “knows it’s not” her time, yet still disrespects her right to live trampling her humanity, whilst patronising her with “bye bye” to convey superiority. He believes himself better than God for creating the situation.
The song’s varying speeds reflect the pattern found in abusive relationships wherein tension builds, there is a violent incident, and then there is peace, which is conveyed in the ballad-like chorus. Likewise the lyric “I’ll give you one more chance….over and over again”.
The woman takes back autonomy by coming back to life and repossessing her body, which I believe to be a metaphor for the re-assumption of their own destinies and rights people make when leaving abusive relationships. She gets revenge for what has happened "almost laughed herself to tears" is the satisfaction she gets from instilling justice and bringing him the fear she suffered.
Only when she believes herself to be no better than her murderer for sinking to his level, and no longer has to worry about being raped, killed or injured by him due to her undead state, they enjoy a happy relationship in all it's depraved glory. Even getting married. This, truly is the only situation that toxic relationships can withstand.
So some tough lessons about where the realities of spousal abuse can take us as human beings. -

"and i know... i kknow is not your time but bye bye..."
"and a word to the wise when the fire dies
you think it's over but it's just begun...
but baby don't cry"
The Rev knew he would die. the rest is only to make a "more-time" music
R.I.P The rev see you in afterlife -
Whenever I listen to this song... which is all the time... a different meaning comes to mind. But I believe this song is about taking what one feels is rightfully theirs.
The male character feels this girl is his one and only for forever but when things go wrong he does what he feels is neccessary for her to be with him forever... if not physically than "spiritually".
This is just how I look at it and how it seems to me. -
Just see the video and you will know what the song's talking about.
-
well the song is kinda strange, the guy is worried about his girlfriend cheating on him and before she does he kills her, yet its almost like a ritual as he says at the beginning "is it such a sin, for me to take what's mine, until the end of time" so it appears that he knew what would happen. i dont think the girl did when she killed him i think its just reppetition to show him how it feels, then they both realise their mistakes and promise to give each other infinite chances (explained by the line "over and over again") then they get married by an unholy priest and kill everyone at their wedding.
-
well obviously, he kills his girlfriend before their relationship can die. (our love had been far too strong for far too long, i was weak with fear that something would go wrong.)
but he preserves her corpse and continues to have sex with it. then her spirit comes back to claim her body, kills him, and then they marry each other in hell.
