"This shining city built of gold, a far cry from innocence, "
--- This is describing Washington D.C. and how our system seems innocent however it is not.
"There's more than meets the eye round here, look to the waters of the deep. "
--- More than meets the eye is saying there is more to this country and how it operates than people really know, look to the waters of the deep is telling us to look into the maritime admiralty system of law which has taken us.
"A city of evil. "
-- Our city or shall we say Babylon (D.C., or U.S. at that matter) has an evil demise not many know about
"There sat a seven-headed beast, ten horns raised from his head. "
--- This is a modified verse from the bible, describing the beast of the end days, The Beast Representing the System of law We've created, The seven heads being the Seven continents, and the ten horns being the operators in control of it all.
"Symbolic woman sits on his throne, but hatred strips her and leaves her naked. "
-- The woman being the code of law, or the woman of law represented by the U.S. In many different places she’s a symbol of the code of law, she sits on the throne as law of the land, Hatred stripping her and leaving her naked is speaking of how the congress and people of power has stripped her by changing the system of law we operate by from common law or the peoples law into maritime admiralty law, which in turn has enslaved everyone by making them a product of the maritime admiralty system. Basically the system was raped and changed without our knowledge leaving her naked.
"The Beast and the Harlot. "
-- The System, being the beast, The harlot being the symbolic woman representing law, however the beast controls us.
"She's a dwelling place for demons.
She's a cage for every unclean spirit, "
-- The U.S. being controlled by so many evil powers that be the cage for every unclean spirit representing the prison system and how every unclean spirit by their standard is placed in a cage, also can be interpreted as being boxed in squared in or caged in, hence the 10 square miles of washington DC
"every filthy bird and makes us drink the poisoned wine to fornicating with our kings. "
-- They have us believing what products we ingest are safe and healthy however there is more demise behind those as well, as a lot of their beliefs are in witchcraft type, thus explaining the strange concoctions we're drinking. Alcohol, Soda, just about everything is controlled now and contains chemicals and other things we do not even know what they are why are they in there? you can not even get fresh water as it's been contaminated as well with flouride.
"Fallen now is Babylon the Great. "
--- The original plan for the united states, being free, has disappeared we are all nothing but slaves via our birth certificates, thus Babylon is falling, we are to be forced into doing whatever they want us to do, and Babylon is no longer such a great place. People are starting to learn of the deception and the system is going to fail.
"The city dressed in jewels and gold, fine linen, myrrh and pearls.
Her plagues will come all at once as her mourners watch her burn.
Destroyed in an hour. "
-- This describing D.C. as well, with all her egyption style buildings and structures, and the beauty that lies within them being gold, pearls, myrhh, and fine linen. Her plagues is referring to what will happen to D.C. and how it will be destroyed in an hour.
"Merchants and captains of the world, sailors, navigators too.
Will weep and morn this loss with her sins piled to the sky, "
-- BAck to the maritime admiralty system, as it is the law of the sea, and is merchant law, which is why it says, merchants. captains. Sailers. navigators, as they are all sea based as well. Them weeping and morning the loss with her sins piled to the sky means that the maritime admiralty system will fail the people will learn of how it really operates and what is really going on, then the system will take the charge instead of the people, thus her sins being piled high, meaning all the sins she's carried out over time onto her own people, that had no clue of what was really going on will come to light.
The Beast and the Harlot.
-- Same as above.
She's a dwelling place for demons.
She's a cage for every unclean spirit,
every filthy bird and makes us drink the poisoned wine to fornicating with our kings.
Fallen now is Babylon the Great.
-- Same as above
The day has come for all us sinners.
If you're not a servant, you'll be struck to the ground.
Flee the burning, greedy city.
Lookin' back on her to see there's nothing around.
-- This is referring to the state of martial law that would be invoked when DC is destroyed, If you are not a servant to them or the system you will be struck down, as to do away with those who have caused them problems in their plight to take over the world which they have already, Flee the burning greedy city, is telling us we must get away and be on our own in order to survive. Looking back and seeing there’s nothing around, is telling us people may look back to the law for help during this time, but will see nothing at all
"I don't believe in fairy tales and no one wants to go to hell.
We've made the wrong decision and it's easy to see. "
-- He is saying he doesn't believe in fairy tales or false information as nobody wants to go to hell for not believing in god or whatever the hell they say we'll go to hell for, by saying we've made the wrong decision and it's easy to see, he's speaking of if you look into the true history, and how everything works, it's easy to see we've went down the wrong road, and are heading for our own destruction, and that what you find out will have you wondering if you can really believe anything you’ve ever been told or taught
"Now if you wanna serve above or be a king below with us,
You're welcome to the city where your future is set forever. "
-- Now here is a little confusing but I think I got it, Whatever you want to be your free to come to the U.S. and do it however it's their choice as to where you end up wether you want to believe it or not, we have open immigration policy, therefore let people come for all sorts of reason but they are going to have the last say of what's going to happen, even if you never ever see them as they have means and powers of control people have no idea about and they can control everything as they see fit, your future being set forever telling how, they choose wether you’re going to be rich, poor, killed by a ‘accident’ employed by certain places, whether you can or can’t get something based on a credit score, and everything else.
She's a dwelling place for demons.
She's a cage for every unclean spirit,
every filthy bird and makes us drink the poisoned wine to fornicating with our kings.
Fallen now is Babylon the Great.
[x2]
-- Same as above. -
Personally I believe this song speaks of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah from the old testament of the Bible. Most of the song speaks on a city built in gold filled with evil. Sodom and Gomorrah were just that. If anyone might remember this is where Lot, Abraham's Nephew, lived. Two angels came to Lot and told him to leave the city for God was going to destroy it. God did then destroy it and Lot's wife looked back and was turned to salt.
Other parts of this song clearly refer to the Book of Revelations such as "There sat a seven-headed beast, ten horns raised from his head."
I'll think about it more and fix this if I feel needed. Thankz for reading whoever did. -
Don't get me wrong I like avenge sevenfold but like the first interp my friend has an unhealtyh obsession too and its a little weird I admit. but anyway I do think it was taken from a book. I can't really tell you if it was the bible because I have a very little religious back ground, but it sounds logical.
now you may think I am crazy but I do research and they say the new "anti-crist" is coming and this time its going to be a girl and the symbolic color is red(just like the RED dress she is wearing in the music video)and bla bla bla the 7 sins but if they did make the chorus than I do think its strange that they made it a girl" she's a dwelling place for demons she's a cage for every unclear spirit every filthy bird(that reminds me of hell)(or atracts sins) and makes us drink the POISON WHINE (makes us sin) to fornicated with the king falling now its Babylon the great"(because we sin) -

The song is taken from the book of revelation the story being the famous prostitute or the beast and the harlot dependent on what bible you are reading but this is almost taken word for word from it until it moves onto another story labeled the fall of Babylon which tells the stories of how she destroys the city. "There sat a beast with seven heads and ten horns and on his throne sat a harlot who was stripped with hatred" "there sat a seven headed beast ten horns raised from its head symbolic woman sits on his throne but hatred strips her and leaves her naked"

I believe this song is telling about the fall of Babylon. "Fallen now is Babylon the Great." The reason for Babylon’s fall, by what the song is saying, is the people of the city getting greedy and hiring harlots, which is an older word for a prostitute, to get pleasure. And it’s a choice to the people to be greedy and higher harlots, or be the ones that are either serving the greedy or being a harlot. And when it is about to fall, you should flee fast, if you're a servant. If you're not a servant then you're as good as dead. "If you're not a servant you'll be struck to the ground. Flee the burning, greedy city,"

This song has major biblical roots. The song itself came from revelations, the last book of the bible. The name Avenged Sevenfold came from genesis.

Again, Like Bat Country, This Song Is Satanic. 'If you wanna serve above or be a king below with us' It's like paradise lost. When they say 'It is better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven' they are promoting hell, once again SATANIC.
