Blink-182: Easy Target Meaning
Easy Target Lyrics
She's a landslide with a city beneath her (That’s what she wanted)
So take a good look, so you'll never forget it (That's what she wanted)
Take a deep breath, I know I'm...

#1 top rated interpretation:Holly was an ex tom's girlfriend who dated him so she could get to know Tom's older brother. Eventually she dumped Tom and dated his bro.
Holly just symbolizes the mean, perverse teenage girl. -
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:This song is about the bitchy popular girl at high school that takes advantage of guys. When Tom and Mark were younger, their friend got asked out by the most popular girl in the school, so he went to her house and her and her friends soaked him in water with a hose.
"Holly's looking dry, she's looking for an easy target" -

Does anyone know what it means when they says "she's the flower that you place on my casket"
-
This is about a girl named Holly, who invited their friend, later released their producer, Jerry Finn, over to her house. She ambushed him and sprayed him with a hose. Jerry had to then ride home on his bike dripping wet and humiliated.
-
This song is not about any of their ex-girlfriends. In the cd booklet, it says it's about a mean, popular girl and her friend who tricked one of Toms friends to go over to her house. He was all happy with himself, but, when he got their, the girl and her friend squirted him with water guns. Aw.
-
Yes, this is about one girl mark, tom and scott went to highschool with that invited one of thier friends to a party and then soaked him with water ballons and the hose.
-
The first person is exactly right it says so in the lyric book, tom explains what the song means off to the side of the lyrics.

If you look through all of the Blink-182 CDs youll find mention of Holly, just like in the RHCP CDs.
-
If you listen to the whole self titled CD in a certain order there is a story and holly uses tom or mark and she's looking for an easy target they use metaphors such as ''shes a flower that you place on my casket'' to prtray this and in the song ''all of this'' right after this song on the album tom sings ''use me holly'' so she probably hold some significance to mark or tom
