Blink-182: I'm Lost Without You Meaning
I'm Lost Without You Lyrics
Please let me know that my one bad day will end
I will go down as your lover, your friend
Give me your lips and with one kiss we begin
Are you afraid of being alone
Cause I am, I'm lost without you
Are...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is so sweet. You may someone don't want to accept it but you are lost without that special person. You always find peace with them that you may go forever with that person that they will make that bad day a good day. That with one simple kiss everything will change. Lets accept it that we are all afraid of being alone forever or leaving that special night that you saw the love of your life and that you just don't want to leave. That part remind me of a night that I just didn't want to leave the place because just watching him made me feel really good although I had this really strange feeling inside me.

This song might, as people wrote before, be about two lovers who cannot see each other all the time.
"I swear that I could go on forever again" -> They are having a good time, and they could just keep on living like that forever. "Please let me know that my one bad day will end" -> Being without the person you love can make a day bad, especially when you're having a hard time anyways. They just want clarification that they can see their loved one again, they wanna hear that the bad times will cease and that it'll become better eventually. "I will go down as your lover, your friend" -> no matter what happens, the speaker wants to keep feeling connected to their love - whatever happens, they are the LOVER, the FRIEND, making this even more pure: they don't even HAVE to be the lover, they are even okay with being their friend, if that keeps them connected. "Give me your lips and with one kiss, we'll begin" -> given the fact that this line leads to the chorus (the "begin", the hook of the song), this might be an introductory device, but also a request for "more" - they want to kiss, and then "begin", this meaning whatever one might imagine.
"Are you afraid of being alone? 'Cause I am. I'm lost without you." -> Pretty self-explanatory: They feel alone, fearful, anxious, (desperate,) and LOST without the lover. -
Losing somebody you love more than anyone else...it is a pain greater than any other...the pain grows stronger with thoughts of her...seeing a picture of her can be stab in the heart...because all those memories of you and her all come back at you with that one picture....

It's about love. Whether that love is gone or still around, boyfriend/girlfriend or family, its love.

This songs about breaking up with someone you had a really close relationship with. Blink 182 wrote it hoping a lot of people would be able to relate to it.

Well this song was mine and my ex boyfriend (who was also my BEST friend)'s song. It's just a deep, loving song.

I think you all got the point of this one down. But for me i got into it right at a time when it was perfect for my situation. I was just getting into this girl who liked me a lot too but shes moving out of state in a few months. On top of that, she has a boyfriend and isnt sure if we will work out. This probably isnt the real meaning, but that is what i think of when i hear it.

This song brings me to tears all the time. I think it's about two lovers who aren't excepted as a couple by their parents so they sneek around and wait for the others call or they wait till the next time they can be together. It reminds me of me and my girl. She lives in PA and her parents are drug addicts and don't want her to be happy. They actually alarmed the door so she couldn't use the phone. but the time we spend together is more appreciated. and I think this song relates to us because, we are afraid of being alone, we are afraid of leaving the nights we can be together, because we don't know the next time we will be together or even speak *wipes eyes*. everyone interprets things differently but this is my interpretation.

Umm... I thought it was all romantic at first, too, but the more I listen to it the more it sounds like a one night stand that Tom wants to last longer... "Are you afraid of being alone... leaving tonight" and the first two lines support my claim. Plus, "Where are you now I can hear footsteps I'm dreaming And if you will, keep me from waking to believe this" is a classic example of someone wanting a one-night stand to last longer... Just my reading, though.

I take this song to mean exactly what the title is- not being able to live without someone. It's a beautiful song and I love it. <3

This is the most romantic song I've ever heard. This is the song Mark played at Travis's wedding. If you want a girl to kiss you and she likes blink 182 play this.

Tommy is such a sweety I am totally in love with this song. Hmm....that one person got that idea from Thomas, he said that's the "right" way to listen to the whole album, but 'specially that song. but I think everybody does right it's about lovers, and its absolutely sooo romantic and cute. Tom is kind of old now but he's sooo very very hot xoxoxo<3
