Blink-182: Even If She Falls Meaning
Even If She Falls Lyrics
Like a ferris wheel, full of blue-green eyes
And a heart of steel, always on her own
Almost never real
When the night will begin, the pain it won't end
Even if she falls in love
Back, you want to turn...
-
My interpretation is:
A guy is in love with a girl but he can't find the words or the strength to ask her out. I assume it's to something like a prom, since it says "When the night will begin," which could relate to some sort of event. The line "you wanna turn back" relates to the fact that he now regrets not asking her, and the line "It's driving you mad" means that he can't stand the fact that she's with someone else. The verses are obviously descriptions of her, and the last line of the second verse, "I am such a fool" can either mean that he feels foolish for ever thinking he could have her, or what I mentioned earlier with the regret of not asking her out. The title and the main line, "Even if she falls (in love)" is stating that even though she may be happy with someone else, he (the singer) will still love her and won't forget the pain of losing her.
This is my interpretation.
With a deep meaning and good tune, this is a great song that can easily apply into a person's life. -
I love this song, and I think the lyrics are open for interpretation. Blink definitely writes to relate to a wide variety people and their experiences, so go with your gut - whatever it means to you.
For me it's a girl that I can't ever find the right words for, and every day it seems like shes slipping away. Even if she falls in love with someone else, I'll still love her. -
To me, this song is about a guy liking a girl who is his friend and doesn't find a way to tell her, so he lives with it and knows that it won't get any better "even if she falls" for another guy.
Another interpretation is that a guy who misses his previous lover and is a "fool" for letting her go. Also the beginning of both verses "and she was" signifies that that is the thing he thought of the last time he saw her, "like a Ferris wheel", "With a heart of steel", "like a blade of ice, etc.
Most of Blink's lyrics are straightforward and don't take long to understand, but because of that, it makes it easy for people to relate to them. That plus a catchy guitar, drum, bass, vocal combo make for a great song.
