Bring Me the Horizon: Empire (Let Them Sing) Meaning
Empire (Let Them Sing) Lyrics
Surrender the throne
The blood on my hands covered the holes
We've been surrounded, by vicious cycles
And we're truly alone
The scars on your heart
are yours to atone
We've been surrounded
Let 'em sing, let 'em...

I thought this song was about the people who think that the whole world is against them. There is no evidence supporting it but if you think about this while listening to the song, it makes sense.
-
It's talking about religion and the blood from his hands covered the holes in jesus' , meaning he laid to rest the theory of Christianity and the idea of were going home to heaven one day. The wolves are the people in the church. You're heart is yours to atone not anyone elses..and we're truly alone is a statement .. not a question like some people like to write in their lyrics to this song. What do you think? God forsaken bastards sounds to me like people in the church(bastards=fatherless) singing. That's what I interpreted all this to be.. going on all the things oli has said about his beliefs and this album in particular...

before singing this sing at a live show one time, oli said this song is about relapse. it makes sense if you think about it and read the lyrics.
-
The song is about the "freedom" people have today. Oli tells that there is no freedom in anything and all of their activites are in control from someone else than themselves. He tells that the best thing that he can do is to live everything he can since this life is not free. By "never found the way back home" means that they will never succeed their dreams! I still wonder how such a perfect song has only one (from now on) interpretation
