Drake: God's Plan Meaning
Song Released: 2018
God's Plan Lyrics
They wishin' on me, yuh
I been movin' calm, don't start no trouble with me
Tryna keep it peaceful is a struggle for me
Don’t pull up at 6 AM to cuddle with me
You know how I like it when...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:I think he is saying that he doesn't want to fail on himself or others. Even though he has haters he will not let that get in his way. When people tell him he can't do something that makes him try harder.
-
2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:Drake just publicly released his first new music of 2018, and he already has another Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “God’s Plan”. The song tells how Drake discusses his future. Being who he is in the industry, he knows that people want him to fail, however, God won’t let him do that. This is about being strong despite having people hate you for what you're standing up for!

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:God often allows failure in our lives for his higher purposes to help us grow and learn through the experience.

*Don’t pull up at 6 am to cuddle with me.
You know how I like it when you loven on me.*
Personally I think it means-
Don’t treat me as your option to come to when the party (that I didn’t go to) is over, even though I like the sex, etc...
I ONLY LOVE MY BED AND MY MOMMA IM SORRY -
"I been movin' calm, don't start no trouble with me. Tryna keep it peaceful is a struggle for me"
Drake says you shouldn't pick a fight with him. Rapper Meek Mill claimed Drake didn't write his own songs. Drake shot back with 2 diss-tracks.
I think that this song is mainly about Drake's life. His success, his struggles, and such. -
Cancer.

First of all, I think Gods Plan is just about Drake submitting himself. The lyrics are good, and if he was blaspheming God, his title would have said something like "I'm God" or "Devil Lives" or some shit like that.
-
I want to like this song but I'm not sure whether I should. Drake certainly isn't a god but just a human (person who comented with scripture(although I do get your point about money not solving everything)), like any of us on here (unless robots or highly smart animals). What do other people think on that line?
I don't get what people mean about him selling his soul, could someone please explain???? thx :)
Also unsure about tattos. I mean it's up to people what they do but I'm not enthusiastic about it as it permanently and unnecessarily(?) changes your body (although I suppose if it helps you remember something really important (although I would think seriously and pray before getting it anyway)). ? What do u think??? -
I think its talking about the poverty in society and Drake is giving money to the poverty because of Hurricane Irme hit Miami, Florida in 2018.
-
First of all whoeva said it’s definitely not about jesus? U know JC did he tell you if he sold his soul.. disclosure you all cant handle the truthbecause like drake said they gonna tell the story different than me but yet we all think we know exactly what jc would do. Truth is drake is a god and this song isnt about us or him, its about helping/meeting new people in all walks of life. Handing just $ dont buy respect show love and then $ Jesus took a man back to the house and john asked why help him jc said thall who already blessed need blessings just and much or more he eventually named him Matthew

He talks about Wat the real God expects him to do no wonder he calls it God's plan.meanin it wasn't through his will. He calls it God's plan.
-
I just absolutely love this song!!! drake keeps making us proud.
-
He has haters wishing him bad but he’s trying to keep it cool and be strong. He thinks of of him as a God since he says “might go down as a G.O.D. Thats his plan, to be someone who did history and was great but it’s a bit narcissist to want to be looked at as a god.
-
God's Plan is mostly people wanting Drake to fail, as Drake will not give in to fail. And as to him, God won't let him fail. This is about being strong despite having people hate you for what you're standing up for!
"I been movin' calm, don't start no trouble with me
Tryna keep it peaceful is a struggle for me"
Drake is being insulted and criticized, but is trying not to take it seriously.
"I don't wanna die for them to miss me"
Drake knew that he has fans as well. But her he doesn't want to die to make them cry everyday for his loss.
"Bad things
It's a lot of bad things
That they wishin' and wishin' and wishin' and wishin'
They wishin' on me"
Drake knew that there are haters out there that are reckless, Wanting Drake to die and other bad things to happen to him. -
It's about people always telling him he cant do something in his career but god is behind him.
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
