Eminem: 3 A.M Meaning

Album cover for 3 A.M album cover

Song Released: 2009

3 A.M Lyrics

Oh oh oh oh oh ooh

There is no escaping....
There's no place to hide....
You scream "Someone save me"
But they don't pay you no mind...
Goodbye!

You're walkin' down a horror corridor
It's almost 4 in the morning and you're in...

this song is loosely based on well known serial killers, all Eminem did was interpret it in his own way some of the lyrics do relate to the album relapse as he did have a drug problem so he twisted the two genres together and made a fusion of a serial killer drug addict its also means that drugs make you do things you wouldn't normally do and also the most infamous serial killers he based this on were under the influence when they killed.

the track is a dive into the mechanism of a killers mind. em shows us what shape he thinks a killers thoughts might take, revelling in his power to hunt and kill at will, consumed by borderline obsessive impulses.
throughout the song em takes on the role of serial killer and lets us catch snapshots of his wildly erratic thoughts and behaviour.
there is never any doubt as to whether you can escape if he sets his sights on you, he is such a competent killer that there is no way out.

could this be his own personal identity causing the superiority of the killer? em kills anyone he goes after when it comes to the culture of hip hop, and he has been jesting about his violent tendencies toward women for a long time.

i think its safe to say that em sees himself as a serial killer of wack rappers who go against him, and has an elevated sense of his own capacity to be dangerous.
if not for rap, this may have been the marshal that he grew into.

Most people look to deep into the lyrics and what they don't realize is this song is simply about when he gets mad.

This song is about Eminem being possessed by the devil. Apparently all "famous people" made a deal with the devil. This song is either making fun of the people who think that he is a satanist, or its completely legit. Only Eminem would know for sure ;)

I believe the song is about the mind of a murderer and him putting himself empathetically in a murderous position.

obviously this song is about black outs when you're using drugs and alcohol and the things you do under the influence. Really? I mean, the unicorn thing was silly at the top, but also sorta disrespectful.

This song is one of the deepest ones from Eminem. Let's start with the basics, his name. There is a meaning behind all this half-blood prince of rap songs. Including his name. Back in the 40's, Eminem was a gifted youngster from the Xavier Foundation for Gifted Youngsters, also known as the Mutants from the Professor X. The half-blood prince of rap, Eminem, was known there to have the ability of speaking incredibly fast and so confusing his enemies. To do so, he had to eat M&M's almost everytime, this causes him to look the way he looks today. There we have, EM-IN-EM, M AND M, M&M, our first clue. After being killed several times in simulators, Eminem had to choose another path. There he met 2pak and Akon, also known as acorn, or a corn, and where do corns grow? Exactly, the field. And who lives in the field? Unicorns. And what are unicorns? Magical and Mystical creatures. Don't you guys see? MAGICAL has an M, and so does MYSTICAL. Our mystery is not a mystery anymore. Eminem is secretly a unicorn. Now, the music we are listening right now thanks to the half-blood prince of rap, M&M, has a touching finale where he battles Asgar, the pneumatic wheel that travels all around the world searching for coffee. The truth behind this is that EMINEM loves coffee, which contains a huge amount of caffeine, and this makes him rap. Just as he left the M&M's, his new source of power was the coffee. And so we can conclude Eminem is trying to rule the world with extra dosis of caffeine into people's mind. Thank you, half-blood prince of rap!

I think this song is about Marshall trying to get help at a rehab facility..k while attempting to get clean he slips and does his drugs that he always talking about how they always have a hold on him..well I think he over does it to the point that he blacks out and goes slim shady on innocent ppl and kills them!! Waking up at 3 a.m is just a sign of the evil that he has caused himself and others! Evil rises

So he says evil rise in the background, BIG DEAL! He is feeding into this whole illumati thing and making fun of the folks who actually believe. Remember Stimulate and the backwards messages he had going there back when the "Satanic messages in songs" shit was big?

i think he is talking about killing people that dont matter to him coz` the people that matter to him are killing him inside so if you think about it he feels like the devil (3.am) because of what he has done in the past and it is all coming back to him now and he is feeling all the anger he was back then and he wants to do the same again and i personally dont blame him because so much has happend to him before he desrves to right to flip out an kill every1 :)) i love him and always do xxxxx

He is showing how he gets possessed. He goes on a killing rampage at devil's hour and doesn't understand what he did because it wasn't him killing people. He was possessed. His eyes aren't even his. As an MK-ULTRA victim, the mind is completely unstable. Look up MK-ULTRA.

Just one word Illuminati 3AM represents ... well for satanists it means the hour that Jesus died on the cross so the "evil" is much more powerfull in that moment ... "Evil riseee/Evil riseee".
