Eminem: Kim Meaning
Kim Lyrics
Aww look at daddy's baby girl
That's daddy baby
Little sleepy head
Yesterday I changed your diaper
Wiped you and powdered you.
How did you get so big?
Can't believe it now your two
Baby you're so precious
Daddy's so proud of...

Kim was the first song Eminem recorded for the Marshall Mathers LP, shortly after finishing work on The Slim Shady LP in late 1998. He wrote it, along with '97 Bonnie & Clyde (where Eminem and his daughter, Hailie Jade, go to the lake to dispose of Kim's dead body), when he and Kim were having relationship problems and Kim was preventing him from seeing his daughter Hailie. Despite its controversial graphic content, it is often highlighted as one of Eminem's most memorable songs. "Kim" is the third song of Eminem about Kim, the first of which is Searchin' from his debut album Infinite, and the second being '97 Bonnie & Clyde from the Slim Shady EP and The Slim Shady LP. Personally, I was fucking terrified the first time I heard it, but then I listened to it a few times. And now it's my favorite song.

I think that this song is that he is in a very bad relationship and its driving him crazy. I think that he believes she under estimates him a lot and he has a hard time expressing himself so this is his way of telling her that A: she went too gone and B: he is warning her that he can lose control and get crazy and this is what could happen if she pushed him too far. But this is how I took it

Eminem cheated on Kim. But that was years ago. Years later, KIM cheats on HIM, saying that she was trying to get even. Kim ends up filing a divorce, keeping their daughter to herself. Marshall, furious at this, begins to write his fantasy of hurting Kim. Marshall pictures himself going in her house, and sees his once little girl now so grown. He ends up finding out that Kim killed her new husband, and son, and that's when Marshall decides it's time to take Hailee back.
-
This song is a prequel to 97 Bonnie and Clyde showing how he killed her in the song.
-
Hes vented his anger and frustration through the lyrics of a very well written song. First time i heard this i was in shock because of how emotional the lyrics are. F@ck i want to kill her after hearing how hurt and scared marshall sounds in this song. Anyway he's created his own parallel universe where he did kill kim.
-
Eminem feels rage for his wife, and expresses his wishes to murder her through this song. Uses pure passion.
-
Obviously it's about feeling hurt n betrayed by Kim cheating and his fantasy of killing her. I don't like the song but love him. The prob I foresee is how does Hailey feel about this song now that she's older. That is her mother. Not to mention most of the songs like this. Poor kid. Love u anyway Em <3
-
He wrote this because he was mad at Kim.
-
"kim" it's a fantastic creation of Eminem. This song shows how angrily depressed he is. He's angry on his loving wife 'Kim'. He expresses his wrath through the epic verses and abuses her(Sit down bitch). From this song we can understand he also cheated when he was 18. But that was years ago now it should be forgotten by 'Kim' but she does the same like a counter attack. She sleeps in Eminem's house. That's why to express his agony and the depressing pain he wrote this song.
This song also proves his strong Emotion and Intelligence. This song has been written spontaneously and instantaneously with the powerful feeling.
No doubt Eminem's idea for killing('homicide' by a false 'suicide' and making her delinquent) aptly points out a criminal-brain.
With this song, "Kim" the bitc* 'Kim' as become a sign for girls who cheats on her lover. 'Kim' represents cheater.
At the end he kills her chocking her throat and he himself goes for ultimate damnation.
~~~I love this song so much~~~ -
beautiful and scary!!i think that em just vented all his anger and frustration into this song...he doesnt know whether he actually loves or hates kim....so he decides to end it by killin her....but its just a song and im sure em would never actually kill any1..
-
listen all u stupid f!@#s that think this song is f!@#ed up you are f!@#ed up eminem got in this game cause of his rage that he wanted to let out look at his childhood if it was you do you think it would be different no it wouldent he could have actually done it but hes smart enough to just sing about it.
-
I think this song is just Marshall blowing off steam. Hes clearly upset with Kim, and so he made a song about her out of anger. How many times have you heard the phrase "i'm going to kill you" or "if you do that i will kill you"? Shoot i've heard little kids say that, and i never saw them attempt it though.I wouldnt blame Kim though if she did want to stay away from him though, because of how bad he has trashed her, but if he was really going to kill her, I think he would have already done it instead of writting a song about it.
-
Its about Eminem basically hating his wife for keeping Hailie and not letting him visit her enough. So in his fantasy, he takes Kim in the car and plans to kill her. He's going mad and a lorry driver beeps the horn and he shouts and him then shouts more at Kim. He tells her about her husband and her having a fight and he kills himself and then the son dies too. then they get out of the car and kills Kim.
-
this song is crazy but it kinda reminds me of people i know right now this song is so f***ed up but i understand his point of view i mean we all get mad at our exes and say that we are gonna kill them but we don't actually do it. i mean seriously we all say things we don't mean.
-
how do people say things like ' he shouldn't have released this song, it's too violent' - DIE. You're opinion is irrelevant, either try to input some insight or shut up.
this song is brilliant, in terms of production, lyrical content and narrative.
