#1 top rated interpretation:I think that this song is saying how em feels about the way his life has been going, I mean from being nothing and nobody, to being so famous that you can't walk down the street anymore with out people pulling you aside to try and talk, or all the fake people that are just with you cause they know you got money and respect, it also shows how he wishes that he could trade places with someone to be able to see what it is like to live a normal life again, and in turn give someone the chance to see what he has to go thru and how hard it is, this song is just like the title "Beautiful"

#2 top rated interpretation:It seems there are a few possible interpretations here - mostly about how we're stuck with what we've got (our lives personalities, etc) and we've got to deal with that - positively even. He's also saying we're all worth something, despite our 'bullshit hands' we're all beautiful. Pretty much whatever life throws at you, don't give up or change for anyone - like he did when he was a kid - trying to impress them by sticking his tongue to....a stop sign? I can't remember.
Secondly, he's shot up from a poor nobody with a fucked up life, to this amazing famous person with a million people kissing his ass - he can't trust or ever be on his own - and he wants us to understand that. Maybe that his life still isn't great, he wants us to 'feel [his] pain' and understand that everyone's got issues. His upbringing was clearly shit, but he knows he's got to get out of it - deal with what God gave him and appreciate it even.
Finally, he's clearly going through a pretty tough time, I know nothing about his life but he says he's 'so fucking depressed' and trying to get out of a slump. But he's trying you know? And knows that he isn't alone with problems, and that we should all 'be proud of who [we] are' and let the hater go fuck themselves. -

#3 top rated interpretation:I think this song is about what is going on in Eminem's life, and it shows on the first line: "I feel so depressed" He says about not knowing if he wants to be a rapper anymore. I also think that Eminem is trying to send a message out to the world: "God gave you shoes that fit you" means that God has given you certain gifts in your life and you should be thankful for them and not take them for granted. He is telling you to be yourself and be how you think you should be, not what other people think you should be.

The course for me, if definitely about Detroit...
The video was shot there & opens with captions stating that "In 1950, Michigan was 1 of 8 states in America that collectively produced 36% of the world's GNP" and that"Detroit was the greatest manufacturing city in the world." It then cuts to present-day images of the city, featuring Eminem walking through three abandoned structures from that era: Michigan Central Station; the former Packard plant; and Tiger Stadium, including demolition footage of the latter. In each location, he is joined by several people appropriate to each building... -
He says he 'just can't seem to get up this hump. I took my bruises took my bumps fell down and I got back up'(i forget the words a little) and it's like he's saying that he went through shit and he was sad but he got up and did something about it and he says for ppl to do the same.

I think Eminem is expressing that everyone has their problems and being famous has it's downfalls. Life is not that it seems to be. It tears you down to nothing, but Eminem talks about building himself up no matter how many times he has to fall. When he sings about "don't let them say you ain't beautiful" he is talking about how life has those people who are going to hate on you and beat you down, but all you have to do is use all that hate and use it as a fuel to make your life better.

This is probably one of the songs I've listened to the most in my life. Basically it's about depression. In the song, it gives you just a bit of all the things he's had to put up with in his life. I guess you can say he's saying to find that spark of hope, "Don't let em say you ain't beautiful. Just stay true to you." & "To my babies, stay strong. Daddy will be home soon. Too the rest of the world, God gave them shoes to fit you. Put em on and wear em."

His drug addiction for sure..sophiiee knows whats up. Another one of his tracks, "Im not afraid" is also embracing his addiction and his recovery from drugs and or alcohol. I too was in rehab and one thing we did was listened to different music about recovery and Im not afraid was the first track we
heard..after really paying close attention i understand the message he is trying to pass along to anybody who will listen being able to look deeper into whats really in front of you is a skill they teach u when coping with addiction. If u look beneath the surface of these lyrics you will find its true meaning. -
I feel that he wants us to respect ourselves. He has went down this road so many times. Between his career and his love life he just forgot what it feels like not to be Eminem but Marshal Mathers. Most people learn from their own mistakes. He's giving us the chance not to make his and not have our lives turn upside. His life went topsy turvy but he's still trying to bring his career and life into the light and show it's alright to mess up in a while. Honestly, I feel in my perspective he wants us to go our own ways that we feel is necessary and forget what people say and stay true to you and your true colors. No one will ever change you are and will be. He has gone through so many life changes that he refuses to see anyone else hurt.

This is about how people judge people and they think that they understand what people are going through. But the truth is that people would have to walk 1000 miles in others shoes for them to understand what someone is going through. Everyone tries to act like they understand everyone's problems and they judge others and act like they are better than others. When, to actually know a person, to judge them, they would have to walk 1000 miles in the other person's shoes. It's about being tired of all the judgemental people in the world needing to shut up and realize that they dont actually know everything and that judging people is stupid when they dont know them.

Ems sayin that we all got our problems and that no matter what fake ppl say, we're all beautiful through the imperfections god gave us to live with
-
i think he is talking about detroit and how beautiful it is or was (im not sure) but if u watch the music video the beggining may show that.
-
Shoes are in expression of your self. It does not matter if you wearing Jordan's or Roos they all got stories. No matter what or who you are. you have to walk in that person's shoes.

I think it's about ems life and how it's been hard and he doesn't want to go back that road again.
-
I think that this song is talking about how life is just really hard and you cant judge a person because you probably have no idea what there are going through and if you walk in each others shoes you wont be able to bear it.
