When Eminem wrote this song he was in rehab for his drug addiction he wrote his first verse while in rehab and the went home and finished it.in his song he is talking about how hard his life has been and how easily he would like to switch places with you by using the metaphor "in my shoes" he is saying how you should stand in someone else shoes and see what they go through in life and see how they feel before you start judging them. At the end of the song he makes a refrence to his daughter hailie and his niece Laney by saying " yeah, to my babies stay strong, daddy will be home soon."
-
He's basically telling people to be themselves.
-
that everyone needs to know who they are and stop trying be like other people. People are beautiful just the way they are and they shouldnt listen to others who want to change them

In this song I believe that Eminem is trying to say how rapping has changed him life for the better and for the worst. He had to deal with a lot of things in his life and all of that was put in the media, and was criticized by the public for what he thought was right. He is trying to say that no one really knows what it's like to be him, and that the only way they would if they would "walk in his shoes." Also he is trying to convince other people not to care about anyone else says about you, cause only you truly know what you have to go through. The main theme that popped into my head was that: why try to be someone else when your "shoes" were made for you, and you should be proud of who you are because your special.

I think this song is about problems. Everyone have their "shit" to deal with. And every time it's a problem. "Look at shit through each other eyes". No matter with who you change sides, everyone will have their "shit", but everyone's is different. With that "be yourself", we're changing to avoid problems, everyone has a part that is "Beautiful" in his "shoes", changing yourself just removes the Beautiful part. No one is ideal, and if you try to be ideal, you're probably "looking for extra attention", and won't be like "the rest [you]".

Eminem songs have nothing to interpret really. it's all there.
He's message is clear "Be proud of who you are and don't ever let anyone tell you you ain't beautiful" and he also gives examples with his own life of how you shouldn't really bother to fit in with the rest (that's overrated).
anyways great song great message go eminem -
He's talking about how hard his life has been, how easily he would like to switch places with you, you should stand in someone else's shoes and feel what they feel before you start judging them. That no matter what other people say about you, your a beautiful person and you should be true to yourself and not be something that your not.
-
he talkes about his life the pain he endured. that hes been distant with his family he wants you to look at life through his eyes so that you can see how it is.
-
I think eminem was just saying hes tired of every body just sucking up to him to get stuff out of him.And he was like saying dont let anybody say like you dont matter. And he was saying like try living his life and doing what hes doing because its hard especialy with the fans crowding him and people trying to get stuff out of him.
