Knowing Ivan's past issues with former bands, his struggles with alcohol and relationships, the negativity of the business and all of the trash talkers on social media and the fact that he left music behind for two years due to his disenchantment with the business. This is a slam at his critics and all that have spewed negativity at him.
First verse, he speaks of the former band, people posting trash online, women or a woman and those people who want him to be something he's not. This last ideology is consistent in many 5FDP songs. -

I truly wish this was about BVB, but unfortunately, it isn't this song was on American Capitalist, released two years before the issue with BVB. Most likely it's about Ivan's former band.

It might be about a woman he was with over a number of years who continually shat on everything he tried to do for her to make her happy.. everything was ok in the beginning, but after some time she revealed her true self.. keeping secrets and using his goodnatured spirit as a pawn in her game. He overlooked all the red flags in hope she would realize her faults in her ways, having the man in her life that would and did do everything in his power to please her even through her unfaithful ways. this is another way of screaming at himself for knowing the facts of the situation but trying to make something from an impossible nothing. He didn't heed his own warnings through his love and now that he let the fantasy go, he's mad at her for stringing him along through the thickness of the relationship and at himself for letting him become her toy.
