Five Finger Death Punch: Under and Over It Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Under and Over It Lyrics
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another fucking sheep in the herd?
Did you hear about the money, how it made me...

I think the song is about a person just sick of the rumors going around about him he is just over the bull shit not caring about anyone thinks of him and could not care less
We can all take a lesson from this song dont think what people think about what people think about you it dosen't matter just be you and you know yourself the best
-
I agree what Ivan Moody is saying, but my meaning for this song is i had enough of you all. I'm under and over this shit. Fuck you get out of my life.
-
This is simply a big F.U. to all those who talk trash about him. Claims of all sorts, that he's spoiled and rich, a drunk, and a sellout to record labels.
Ivan is telling the story of how he has worked hard to get where he is, that people see it as living the high life. In Ivan's words, it's not as they tell it, nor is his life easy and he welcomes all challengers who want to try to accomplish what he has, coming from where he did. -
It's about giving the finger to everyone who gave them a hard time growing up.

In gambling, Betting if the score is going to be OVER a set number of points, or UNDER that set of points such as roulette is termed, Under/Over. Meaning you can have above or below winning odds. He's saying you can take his shoes and he'll walk in yours gladly give up the fame as he has both fields covered, hes over and under it all. he doesnt care. he has nothing to loose as hes gained everything.
-
Hes putting all the critics to rest. The video has a message as well. It has a bunch of chicks and partying in it because they aren't about that. Its just made to be a punch in the face to all there critics.
-
Its about how everyone, with the modern-day pop "music" mentality, automatically assumes that Metal is evil and all this other crap thats not true. He's telling them that if they don't know what they're talking about, or don't like the music, to keep their conceited opinions to themselves.
-
Its a deep seeded relationship issue song. There's so much that she wanted with 'Hollywood' eyes that he tried to give but was never enough. He's saying all he wanted was her and a normal life but never met her distorted view and now he says you can have whatever you want but im almost done with it all. Meaning he still wants her but not her false view of life. He will live in her view of sin for not being able to give her the fame so he will be sinning in her eyes. Too many people hear one side of the story (hers) that's where the did you hear parts come from with her degrading his worth. Just a perception of a one sided bad relationship where nothing met astrological standards.
-
He's being consumed by fame and sin and is tired of it, he wants to be clean of it and rid of it as it says, "I'll take my sanity, You take the fame. I'm under and over it all."
-
i think it is about staying true to yourself and being who you are, not someone your not.
-
He just tired of the shit...
-
Simple really. Everybody makes claims about 5fdp and how they live. "I found out from the internet that I have 12 kids, my band is breaking up, Im rich, and that I have a huge c**k. All of those are false." Ivan Moody.
