Five Finger Death Punch: Remember Everything Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Remember Everything Lyrics
I'm sorry, I wasn't good enough
Dear Father, forgive me
Cause in your eyes, I just never added up
In my heart I know I failed you, but you left me here alone
[Chorus]
If I could hold back the rain, would you numb...
-
I think it means he never forgot how his family was to him and he feels sorry that they said he wasnt good enough.
-
this song sounds like the parents had expectations for their son but he never fulfilled them. because of that he held a grudge against them and ran off, probably leaving his siblings behind. he felt regret for not being their for his brother, and maybe he was close to his sister but thought it was better for him to leave but she couldn't believe it. now he's saying he wants to go back and erase the pain, but he can't forgive his family at the same time....that's just my opinion...
-
In my opinion this song reminds me of someone who could of been on drugs and had a horrible childhood and had a big fight with his family and now as he's older thinking about it. He cant get the regrets out of his because he remembers everything and now he's begging for their forgiveness or for them to numb the pain because he cant forget all the bad things he might of said or done.
-
I feel that the person in this song was betrayed by everyone in his/her family and doesn't feel like being there anymore.
-
I feel that as a grown man looking back on life he realizes that he wasn't there for his siblings when they were left or abused by their parents. He is apologizing to his siblings but at the same time he realizes his parents were prices of shit that's why in the song he states I remember everything and fuck it I will burn it to the ground before I let you in. Pretty much its my life
-
I looked up on other sites to and some have said abuse sounds like it played a role in this.
-
I read everyones input he says towards the end forgive me I can't forgive you now that I remember everything so it can't Just be about someone walking out on there family
-
I believe that there is a boy with a family that wasn't really there for him. His parents were abusers and his siblings had what they called life.
And as he gets older he is trying to move on with his life and start his but he can't with all the feelings of his child hood in the back of his heart.

The main person talking in this amazing song is most likely a man who has never been there or cared for his family and only looked out for himself. I believe this song is an apology for his actions and I think he wants his family back so he can spend the time with them that they deserve and never got from him. This song hit a weak spot in me because my relations with my family really aren't what they should be. Masterpiece by a great artist.
-
i think that this song is about a person who was a shitty son and brother as a kid and as an adult he wants to make up for it, or at least give his apologizes
-
I don't know for sure, but this song sounds like it's from a man's perspective who has walked out on his family. This song kinda struck a chord for me, cuz it reminds me of my brother who passed.
