I think that its about feelings of inadequacy in a relationship. He's encouraging someone to walk away and cut him loose, thus ending his personal torture. Maybe he feels as though this person that he cares about is better off without him.

I feel like this song is about a strained father/son relationship. I think that the son and the father get into a huge fight, and this is what the first verse talks about. The chorus is him trying to walk away and forget everything that happened and moving on, probably leaving the house or cutting off contact with his father for good.

to me it sounds a lot like the last meaning, minus the relationship part. what im saying is it sounds like a guy/ girl likes another guy/girl and never gets a chance with him or her and has to sit by the rest of their life and watch him or her become swept away by their lover and never gets the chance at love. you could just call it window shopping, except you are wanting an admirer but not getting it. relationship problems to put it short.

Its simply about a relationship where its not working but he/she really likes her but has to break up. He telling himself to just move move on and not making it hard
