Five Finger Death Punch: When The Seasons Change Meaning

When The Seasons Change Lyrics
-
this song has a very deep meaning to me... a few years back i lost a very good friend to a nasty car accident and when it says there's a light in you that tears me down to nothing... it makes me remember the look he gave me right before he passed away in my arms... and when he says I won't let you down... i can remember saying to him that everything is gonna b ok but deep down i knew that there wasn't anything I could do except b there as he took his final breath... when he says there's a hope in me that i will die for something was there fire in my eyes... to me it means that i wanna make it up to him and continue my life and his legacy... all this pain inside will it be there forever, I could run but I can't hide, everybody stumbles... to me it means the daily struggle with loosing someone and just remembering that day i've tried to hide from the pain but it's still there no matter how much you try to forget it... the seasons may change but the memories are still there... that's what I think Ivan was trying to convey in this song... so remember the good memories that you have with people because those will help you with the bad times it's always gonna be there but try the remember the good... when the seasons change and we're in for colder weather... it's meaning when the bad memories hit hard remember the good times... and when it says look for me on the divide... meaning when you too have passed out and look for them after death... i'll fight through the pain... meaning that you fight through the bad memories and pull through victorious, it's not easy but it's possible...

My interpretation is the song represents never quitting or letting people down

Ivan is a father, but is also a known drug addict even leaving tour for rehab. To me, this song is a promise to his kids that no matter what, he will not abandon them and will protect them from the demons in his head. So basically its telling his kids he won't kill himself at any point, no matter where his addiction takes him
