Don't Be a Girl About it Lyrics

[Kelly Clarkson]

Believe me boy when I say 'so what'
This broken record thing has got to stop
I'm losing...

I am a fan of Kelly Clarkson since her idol days. She is usually all about empowerment, but honestly this song doesn't sit right with me. She is equating a guy who is whining to be like a girl. This song is degrading to women and pigeonholes us to a stereotype.

The alternative to this song would be "Don't be a c"&t about it." Yeah, he showed his weakness and vulnerability a little too much and she called him on it. Women say they want vulnerability in a man but that's bull$**t.

She's with a guy that's a total puss. He used to be the love of her life now he's super soft. Kinda just too needy. It's like the roles have reversed she's the insensitive guy in the relationship and he's the super clingy girl
