We can be strong, we can be strong

We can be strong, we can be strong
Follow that unicorn on the road to love

    I'm pretty sure this song is about gay rights.

    "Rainbow syrup in her heart that she bleeds"
    Rainbow- Gay flag... Heart that she bleeds- she puts her heart and soul into fighting for gay rights.

    "We can be strong on this lonely road...to love" the gay community can be strong together while they fight for "love" or marriage.

    The whole first verse is about her fighting with "fury" for gay rights.

    I'm not too sure about the "flag in her bra." It could be, again, a reference to the gay flag; or to the American flag, and she's fighting for gay marriage in America.

    But that's just my two cents.

    "They don't care if your papers or your love is the law" is not only referring to gay rights. In my opinion it refers to peace and freedom in general. A colorful world. Meaning that people from other countries are welcomed no matter where they are from or who they love. Because all humans should have their free will. We should all have our freedom and be kind to another. We are all humans! I love you monsters!

    "And she's got rainbow syrup in her heart that she bleeds
    They don't care if your papers or your love is the law"

    This is about the struggle and lonely road of being in a gay/lesbian relationship.

    i think that this song is definitely about gay right because she says "They don't care if your papers or your love is the law" meaning they don't care about you being gay because that's the law, and if you watch she mentions her pink "gay unicorn" in her concert.

    The song is clearly about Gay rights. She is very active in the gay community and with references to rainbows, flags and unicorns. When this album was releases lady gaga was campaigning to have equal gay marriage in NYC, so clearly a cause that is close to her heart.

    She is an inspiration and a true icon. Lady gaga is using her power and fame to benefit those who need it most. Which makes you look at other artists and icons who other than releasing music haven't really done a thing to change the world for the better... Other than adopt babies from poor counties x

    Unicorn = freedom in love

    I think she is associating the image of the Unicorn with a meaning of 'freedom in love/expressing all of our true colours in love/rainbow love'

    A rainbow is in all different colours; this means to show your true colours.
    A unicorn is in all different colours. I think she is associating the unicorn with love. And because its in all colours, we see a freedom in loving.

    unicorn = rainbow love

    I believe that this song is about sex. No - seriously. I am not the type to think everything has to have to do with sex but c'mon.. With the line 'With her top down she flies' I believe the song is about sex and 'ride' refers to sexual intercourse and the road to love is her relationship with a man.

    This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

    I think it's about loving someone and not caring what people say about your relationship. Also, being determined to stay strong through the tough times you have to go through in life.
    "They don't care if the papers or your love is the law"
