Song Released: 2009
So Happy I could Die Lyrics
Eh-eh, eh-eh, aha, aha
Eh-eh, eh-eh, yeha, yeha
Eh-eh, eh-eh, aha, aha
I love that lavender blonde
The way she moves, the way she walks
I touch myself, can't get enough
And in the silence of the night
Through...

Lady Gaga once said during an interview that the song, "So Happy I Could Die" is about her fear of drug addiction.
-
Iz about how she has a lesbian crush on a woman who doesn't like her back. She does herself and fantasizes about it. Shes happy but at the same time, she's sad cuz she knows that her fantasies are fake. I'm not a lesbian but this is a sad song. D-:

The song is about Lady Starlight.
When Lady Gaga plays as Lady Starlight on stage, she wears a lavender wig.
'I love that lavender/blonde'. Lady Gaga is blonde but she has a lavender wig!
She is saying that she loves her self, hence the line 'I touch myself all through the night'.
She is talking about how much she loves Lady Starlight and how she longs to be brave and NOT afraid of addiction, just like Starlight.
It's about fear of addiction and sex.
Saying, it's OK to love yourself and allow yourself to have a good time and experience personal pleasure! :) -

I know she says it's about her fear of addiction to alcohol and drugs. Maybe it's also a fear of depending on pleasures (sexx, masturbation, drugs, alcohol) to be happy. *touch myself all through the night*, i think she's also just sort of saying "it's okay to be dark" in a way, you don't always have to be "normal" and "healthy". I LOVE this song. i'ts amazing. this and bloody mary are my favorites.

Fear of addiction

Maybe it means that she has trouble loving her self will she gets ready for the club so happy she could die of the joy she is in loved with her self but outside of the club her inner feelings are degraded since she doesnt love her self.

one of my favorite songs ever... i love this song so much... lady gaga is beyond amazing...
i think this songs about a few things: masturbation and the pleasure with one's self ... drinking and feeling happy... and her lesbian feelings which i read that she had 4 one of her best friends...
if i had 2 pick one of those i would combine 1 & 3... she has a crush on that girl... but she does not need her around 2 feel happy about it... it is about masturbation in a boarder way... loving oneself and being fascinated with urself and finding happiness n joy (even sexual joy) in that!
simply amazing song... stunning music and unbelievable atmosphere... n a very deep meaning... since the first time i heard it it made it 2 my all-time favorite list! love this song so much...
love u gaga! -
"I love that lavender blonde
The way she moves, the way she walks
I touch myself, can't get enough" probably means she likes a girl and the rest of the lyrics are what gaga says to her, to open her mind and heart to a lesbian relation OR shes talking to herself and likes masturbating while being drunk -
This song is about getting drunk and feeling that "happy" feeling.
