My Chemical Romance: Blood Meaning
Blood Lyrics
Send you roses when they think you need to smile.
I can't control myself because I don't know how,
And they love me for it honestly, I'll be here for a while.
So give them blood, blood, gallons...

don't know if this will help in anyway but, yeahi figured the loose theme of it is hospitals and death and..stuff, so i think this song is about how when they go into hopsital -knowing hes going to be there for a long time- they just drain the life out of him...when they wouyld rather be out enjoying what theyve got left..(i gave you blood, gallons of the stuff, gave you all that you can drink and it will never be enough) i wouldnt really know becuase ive never been in any major life threatening situations before...ive only watched other people in hosipatal(and no im not a paeodo):) well hope i helped...

I think it could be just to do with giving blood. Maybe they're trying to make a difference? By saying that they give blood, and they love to do it, and everyone loves them when they do, many fans might try it too. Their fans love them that much that they want to be like them, and be like, 'I gave blood like MCR'.
-
I thought that it meant the hospital staff adore him because he can't fend for himself and look after him, and he has to give them lots and lots of blood so they can give him blood tests because he has cancer.
OR
Giving people lots of love and them draining the energy out of you, like vampires. -
This song isn't about "obsessed fans" or things of that sort. If you know of Gerard's past, you know that he was shoved around and made fun of a lot because of how he dressed or looked or acted. This song is about how teenagers or people in general these days suck out ever bit of self-confidence or self-esteem that some people had because of the way they acted or looked or something. Their metaphor for "vampires" are for people who "suck out" others' confidence. Gerard is suggesting that other people like him are "the kind of human wreckage" that these "vampires" love.

This is CLEARLY about a patient at an hospital! Maybe he/she has a disease and it's about how the nurses and doctors keep taking blood and no matter how much they take they never get enough, and they keep taking more. It also about how the patient is a prick to the people at the hospital.
-
I say It's about the Pppl in the Hospital are vampires and Monsters. And well Its probaly referring to the Patient thinking that about them, and well I LOVE the black parade album. One of their bests! But "I brought you bullets, Your Brought me your Love" the lyrics are awesum but weird and the "Three Cheers for sweet Revenge" Album is cool to but the lyrics as I say is weird!

I think it's about war.
Well they encourage all complete cooperation
[war is about taking control of everything]
Send you roses when they think you need to smile
[after war, we often will try to fix the country we just destroyed.]
I can't control myself because I don't know how
And they love me for it honestly I'll be here for a while
[he kills people, yet people love him and idolize him for it. The story of all soldiers.]
So give them blood, blood
Gallons of the stuff
Give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough
So give them blood, blood, bloooood
Grab a glass because there's going to be a flood.
[Soldiers give their lives, but that's not enough. There always needs to be more soldiers, more lives taken.]
A celebrated man amongst the gurneys
[Dead soldiers are often celebrated.]
They can fix me proper with a bit of luck
The doctors and the nurses they adore me so
But it's really quite alarming cause I'm such an awful fuck!
(oh, thank you)
[Everyone loves soldiers, thinks their heroes, even though they kill a lot of people]
I gave you blood, blood
Gallons of the stuff
I gave you all that you can drink and it has never been enough
I gave you blood, blood, bloooooooooood!
[again... Soldiers give and give, yet all wars do is take; there's not end]
I'm the kind of human wreckage that you love!
[he's a killing machine that everyone loves.] -
You guys are being way to serious! It might be about the stuff you were talking about, but you have to admit, it's pretty funny, right?
-
ok here we go....ok the cd starts with the dudes life and wht happens along it(he goes mad or sumthing) and if u listen to it you hear a FLATLINE showing he is DEAD! so u go from the start to the END its all in the cd if u put the puzzle togeather (the house of wovles his home) and so on
-
i think that it's about "the patient" as well, but i think it's from his point of view in a mental asylum, or just a hospital. cuz they're always running tests with blood, and maybe he wants to know why?!
i dunno if that's good -
I think the song is pretty straight forward on it's meaning. People can be greedy and everything you have to offer them will never be enough because they will always want more.
-
This song I believe has two meanings one being that 'the patant' is on his death bed just waiting to die but not ready also I believe it represents the sheer effort MCR put into their songs and how people always try to take over but it is in your control (Gerad Ways interpretation of death)
-
I think the phrase blood blood gallons of the stuff give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough refers either to the critics that think even though the band is giving it their all they think its not good enough or some personal experience where someone expects to much from them after all they are only human
-
I don't know about everyone else but I think the song blood shouldnt be taken literally about hospitals and patients and stuff I think its a message to fans as in blood = life. "I gave you blood, blood, gallons of the stuff I gave you all that you can drink and it has never been enough" - as previously said it means that they give their all into their music and fans keep on wanting more "grab a glass because there's going to be a flood" - they WILL give us more xD ... "the doctors and the nurses they adore me so,
But it's really quite alarming cause I'm such an awful fuck." he's talking about how much fans love them and he finds it "quite alarming" because they probably don't see themselves the way that us fans do (ie. we think quite high of them they're like our heroes or something) then it ends in my favourite "I'm the kind of human wreckage that you love!" - which to me means that no matter how fucked up he thinks he is we love him/the band unconditionally and regardless of any problems/issues they might have had! :)
long story short - this song sounds to me like a thank you from the band to their fans, showing us their appreciation and promising us there's more to come xD
love mcr!!!!! xxx -
I believe this song is about how society is always demanding more from people. These people are not necessarily famous people or rich people, but instead themselves. People always expect more from themselves, but when they can't fulfill their own hopes or dreams or other peoples hopes or dreams they feel very depressed. When they feel that all hope is lost for that dream, then they become a mess. They have nothing to work for anymore, hence the line, "The doctors and the nurses they adore me so
But it's really quite alarming
'Cause I'm such an awful f*ck"
this is because people like to see other people fail where they want succeed because it seems that if more people fail there then there will be more positions and therefore more of an opportunity.
