King and Lionheart Lyrics
but these problem aside I think I taught you well.
That we won’t run, and we won’t run, and we won’t run.
That we won’t run, and we won’t run, and we won’t run.
And in the winter night sky ships are...

According to Nanna from the interview on Jian Ghomeshi's show Studio Q, this is a very personal song for her and it has to do with her little brother living near Halifax and her missing seeing him grow up.
I wonder what that says about the big galoots that take her away from him? For what it's worth from one galoot, sorry Nanna. -

I think this song is about two persons in a relationship that is not accepted by those around them and they must be brave and face the demons and they are saying that they are here to stay they will not break their relationship. :)
And as the world comes to and end, meaning as things start to go wrong they will be there for each other, until the end holding hands. -
(Tgk) to add to the above, the king and queen are facing a threat that will certainly destroy their kingdom and themselves yet they face this fear together. They will not run. their here to stay. Almost visualize them holding hands as they walk toowards the oblivion together.
-
To me (tgk) this is a story of a king and queen during the downfall of their rule due to some monstrous creatures from outside their kingdom in the mountains. The king and queen can see the blue lights of their city from their castle as ppl flee in ships sailing away. these pple should be worrying about trying to reclaim the kingdom instead cant wait for better days so leave. The king/queen tho far away frm reg townfolk in their high castle are the same and walk in their city to see the remainig ppl that didnt flee.brave

I think that it means that she puts him before her, he is the king and she is the lionheart which means she has courage and bravery.
-
He's the king and she's the lionheart... they're completely different, but couldn't do without each other.
"Taking over this town, they should worry,
but these problem aside I think I taught you well.
That we won’t run, and we won’t run, and we won’t run."
Combined, they don't fear anything. -
