One Direction: Night Changes Meaning
Song Released: 2014
Night Changes Lyrics
Her mother doesn’t like that kind of dress
Everything she never had
She’s showing off
Driving too fast, moon is breaking through her hair
She said it was something that she won’t forget
Having...

I think its about a girl in a coma after a accident. Like when it says "her mother doesn't like that kind of dress" it could mean a hospital gown, right? And I think 'night changes' means a tragedy. The accident, or tragedy that happened will never change me or you. And especially when it says "Heart is beating loud, she doesn't want it to stop" she's in a coma, so she can hear her heart moniter and she wants to wake up, not die. "Does it ever drive you crazy, just how fast the night changes?" For that line, it means that isn't it so crazy how tragedy can strike so fast? Or, alternatively, 'night changes' could possibly mean how a cheery and fun time can turn into something devasting and sad.

Has anyone thought it could possibly be about her losing her virginity?
-
Night Changes is about doing things while you're still young because, when you grow up, you may not have a chance to do them.

personally i think this song is about a girl who finally found her true love and no matter how many times do that guy makes mistake, "it will never change me and you" cos "we're only getting older".
the line "Reminds her of the missing piece of innocence she lost" really gets me everytime cos he doesnt want to break her heart like her previous ex. so he wants to make this dinner as the best one for her. unfortunately something goes wrong. however "Even when the night changes
It will never change me and you" -
I think it might be about a girl who's rebelled out on everybody and always taking risks like driving too fast or meeting different guys.
-
I interpretated it to be a girl loosing her "V's"...
But in saying that ive only heard it a fewtimes on the radio -
She's going to meet her true love after much time passes. Red dress means she still loves him and knows that will never change. She's dreamed of him for so long and now she is finally free. She's tired of dreaming if him and can't wait to see him. She knows deep down that she will not regret this. How the night changes means how time has passed and nothing will ever change the way she feels. Her mother doesn't approve and feels she'll get hurt again. Hurt is expressed in Every time she dreams she wakes up and it's all gone. Chasing this fantasy and she's doubtful and excited also fearful. No matter what happens nothing will ever change between the two of them.
-
This song is about a car wreck, "driving to fast" obviously states it clearly. "She's heading for something that she won't forget, having no regrets is all that she really wants" It means, she's about to be in a horrible accident, maybe even a deathly one, and afterwards, she's going to regret going out that night, because of how much fun she was having, but quickly turned into something "red" or horrible.
