Relient K: Who I Am Hates Who I've Been Meaning
Who I Am Hates Who I've Been Lyrics
Coming up over the Pacific and
You might think I'm losing my mind,
But I will shy away from the specifics...
'cause I don't want you to know where I am
'cause then you'll see my heart
In the saddest state...

The lead singer wants to change who he is, and be a better person and christian. and he's sorry for what he did. and wishes he could go back in time.
-
Again I think it is about his former drug using self. I herd it somewhere that he used to be a druggie and it makes sense that now he is devoted to the lord not the drugs.

The guy hates what kind of person he is because of all the sin in his life and wants to change
-
i think this song is about someone who made a mistake, that caused them to lose someone really special, they realise how much they miss that persona nd regret what they did and it's about wishing they could take back the things they said and mistakes they made. They want to prove to that person how much they have changed and are ready to beocme a better person for them and for themsleves.

Ok so yeah, relient k has often been know as a band that sometimes does the silly stuff and sometimes does the serious thing. The great thing about them and their albums is that they really know how to balance the two.
I personally love this song and I think a lot of christians will agree that this is/was close to how they felt when they found out jesus would give them a second chance at life. Blessings fellow listeners.
