Song Released: 2011
Gold on the Ceiling Lyrics
She screams again
Roar at the door
My mind can't take much more
I could never drown in
They wanna get my
They wanna get my
Gold on the ceiling
I ain't blind
Just a matter of time
Before you steal it
It's...
-
Song of Solomon anyone? The gold the Pilate keeps on her ceiling in the green bag?
-
I think it is simply about prostitution being that she want his money and she is climaxing her ass off in the beginning of the song
-
I think its about him trippin out on some drug. The gold on the ceiling being only a hallucination and that hes thinking about his hirl in the shower or somthing like that. And the parts about him thinking that someones trying to steal his "gold" is just his scrambled thoughts making him paranoid.
-
The song is about rolling acres mall in ohio which was right where they grew up. Near the food court was a room with gold ceiling tiles (actually tin) and when the mall closed in 2008 people were stealing all the metal in there. Where all the drug stuff came from is blogs like this. Fun fact.
-
Isn't this song just about you/us (the fan) throwing our hands in the air to the sound of a good track? If you imagine gold on the ceiling, it would only be a matter of time before you steal it...
-
Hmmm, I always thought the gold on the ceiling was the sun above the water and she is drowning trying to get to the gold. But they "death, whatever" is gonna steal it.
-
He is talking about gold diggers. They are trying to get at his shit and are using sex as their ticket in. And as long as they are trying to get at him with sex,he is not going to try to stop them(ain't no guard at my house ). Let em keep trying all they want,as long as his dick benefits.
-
People are trying to take what's his because he has it good (gold) and it's only a matter of time before they try to take it and climb up the ceiling like the little social climbers/ gold diggers they are
-
simple fools, its about groupies! now that they are famous, gold digging girls want his "gold on the ceiling" (money) and he is fighting the temptation. also a sign of good lyricists is songs being able to be interpreted many different ways i.e. Bob Dylan
-
I think the song is about being tripping out on drugs
-
Gold on the ceiling is the spiritual crown on his head. No matter how much he tries to protect it, he realizes that the powers of darkness and money will eventually take his crown away.
-
Someone needs to learn about safety deposit boxes.
-
its about a purple gel cap acidtrip of a gold face shinning down and waving in 1999 in ohio an how it would be taken and used use for lyrics kind of a reversal of abby hoffman steal this book, if you put dont steal it aways gets taken, the guy that took the trip lives and watches over a farm, and how did jimmy hendrix die drowned on drugs
-
its about some one eating light purple gel cap lsd seeing a face of gold shineing down from the cealing waving in 1999 then talking about stealing that vission for lyrics and cash , but they did a good job with it, lol alot better than the guy that took the trip , if words can help ppl make cash get where there going, thats what matters
