Three Days Grace: Tell Me Why Meaning
Tell Me Why Lyrics
It's like I'm always getting blood on my hands
All it takes is one and I'm gone and a thousand 'til the end
How'd I wind up here again?
You take me to the edge
You push me too far
You watch me slip away
I'm...

It means mistakes made family violated substance abuse use, recklessness, and tye what follows is even worse.
Guilt shame and as we speak death.... But better than the torture of what woukd have happened.. Trials, mamings, downright brutal human shit worse than what the first pain was I think but that's for the another judge about to be seen now.... Lesson? There's nothing anyone can learn from this that can make up for what's been said or done.. And prolonging a life is just not what my angel had plans for so it's goodbye. By the way I knew you knew this whole time you allowed my brain eyes skin and bones to deteriorate to what's barely left... Nobody especially my family should watch the remaking days of the what all the poison that's been given to me via needles or food or cremes.. I knew... I just didn't stop it because it's best this way.. Im lucky to even be able to read what I type now because it's all fading so fast... Too all this angels and demons part of what was a fantastical show on your part to help me see or stop it before hand thank you for trying....
To the Brazilian.. I now know you were that angel.tge rock you gave me should have been my clue.. I was a king for a day but he failed you. Gabriel and Satan's Salad you were my confessional and the rest all just let it happen for it is now today..
To TK and.... I hope in some place in that heart of yours a small piece can be set aside for forgiveness and then bury it and plant a new seed of love for someone one day who deserves it.. -
This song is about pushing those you love to push you away... I nearly killed myself to this song one night... It simply means, when you try to fix something you mess it up (how did I wind up here again, its like im always getting blood on my hands), when you get irritable you try to fix it and make it worse the harder you try (pushed to the edge watch me slip away, holding on too hard) and then you slowly lose all those that you love and care dearly for, (tell me why, does everything that I love get taken away). This is what it means to me.. All of us interperate things differently.. v_v

Substance abuse and relapsing

I feel like it means a lost lover. AS it was taken away, the pure feeling of devotion and being needed is gone.BEing pushed away from love is the worst feeling, and hes alone again.

This is about about anything addicting. It could be about cutting, drugs, etc. seeing as one of them had a drug addiction, it's probably about that.
"All it takes is one and I'm done and a thousand 'till the end" is saying how they can't stop when they start.
"Tell me why does everything that I love get taken away from me?" That everything that I love could be living life without cuts or being in drugs.
"How come nothing ever last?" Is asking why the high feeling never lasts. It could also be asking why the streak of being clean never lasts.
"It goes from good to bad to worst so fast." Is saying how the high feels good, then you feel bad, that you are at your worst place and wish you never did it in the first place.
"All it takes is one and I'm gone and you can't erase the past" all it takes is one pill or one cut, etc. and you can't erase the fact that you broke your string of being clean or that you did something stupid while on drugs or alcohol.
"You take me to the edge. You push me too far. You watch me slip away, holding on too hard." That's when you go so far that it's life threatening.
"Here I am alone again" is when they did it and wish they didn't but have no one to comfort them. Even if they are in a house full of people, they are alone.
