   It's about depression. It's numbing and people never think it'll get as bad as it does. It's about being alone and realizing just how far you've let it take you. living in a world so cold is isolation. most of the time people are to young to feel as sad or upset as they do.

   well if youve seen the music video (it's on youtube) the singer is being killed by lethal injection which would make sense if you look at a few lines in the song- "never thought id feel this". The line "guilty and im broken down inside" could suggest that hes guilty of a crime. and if you go with the music video interpertation then you can probably guess what "livin' in a world so cold" stands for.
