30 Seconds To Mars: The Kill Meaning
Song Released: 2006
The Kill Lyrics
Laugh it all off in your face
What would you do? (Oh, oh)
What if I fell to the floor
Couldn't take this anymore
What would you do, do, do?
Come break me down
Marry me, bury me
I am finished with you
What if...

I think this song is about someone that changed for someone else. So that person is saying that they are gonna kill that part that they made up of themselves. Hence the bury me bury me part. In the video, when he's face to face with himself, he says this is who I really am and he's saying it to the made up part of himself. He doesn't even know which is the real part of himself anymore. That's why it would be kind of like a crazy person. The person is confused about who they are.

To all the ppl who thought it was about a girl- that's real typical, and 30 sec to mars songs are not typical. I'm pretty sure that the scene in the music video where (as my friend likes to call it) he has that "moment" with his twin kinda gives a little insight to the song. when he says "what if I wanted to break...what would you do?" he's not talking to some girl or whatever, he's talking to himself- or the person he's trying to be. either that, or he's just talking to the world- everyone around him. all the people who THINK they know him. Take your pick. :D

You people are all morons with your deep interpretations of the meaning of this song. If you pay attention to the video, you will notice that whenever he is face to face with himself, he is uncomfortable. This represents his bad breath vs his fresh mouth. His halitosis is so bad he would rather be dead thus the "bury me Bury me". The Bear in the video represents how he wants the Boston Bruins to win the Stanley Cup.

Hmmm I don't really like them that much jared leto seems kinda arrogant, but I heard that in this song he was talking to himself about his life and how he didn't know who he was but he finally found himself..... Something like that.
-
First of all, Jared Leto is the hottest man in the world... and this song interprets how he's fighting with himself and where he can go from where he is, I say this because I can kinda relate to him. Its hard to find your true self without actually knowing for sure, if you pay attention to the lyrics in his songs from the album a beautiful lie, he is constantly saying in his songs how he wants to find himself in some way or another.thats why he takes his nusic so seriously, which is understandable.

He did an acoustic version of the song on MTV and said, "This is a song called 'The Kill'. But don't be scared, it's a nice song....about losing your mind."

sigh......so everyone is saying how it's about a girl and a boy. Well I think it's about just any type of relationships. It could be about a child wanting to be accepted by their parent. basically it's about having two personalities and always having to hide a part of your self because people don't always accept who you really are as a whole. sometimes it kills people to know that they have to hide because the think they won't be accepted. Then people get tiered of hiding and end up pushing people away by being mean
