   Song Meaning
   I think the song is self explanatory.
   
   Everybody hurts. It's okay to just cry and scream on days when you're feeling alone. You're not alone in this world. Somewhere, someone is going through the same thing. It's not just you, so don't feel alone. It's okay to be afraid and just know that everybody hurts.

   I think what avril lavigne is trying to say is if someone hurts you, everything will be ok because people go through that pain sometime in your life and you cant get out of it. but it doesn't mean you have to hurt your self because of them if they didn't treat you right than they didn't deserve you.

   Everybody has hurt her and the one she loves is leaving her and has hurt her too. And that's when she realizes that even her close partner has hurt her and asks him to not to leave her. she feels a pain and says it's ok because everybody feels this way. avril wishes she could turn back the time to prevent this state of feeling. she doesn't really know why others did that to her, but she thinks it's not a serious problem.

   My interpretation on Everybody Hurts is that everybody has been through pain. Even if nobody admits it. Avril has been through a lot and shes saying that it okay and it will always be okay.. And the pain can come from a boy/girl that broke ur heart or it come from family problems e.t.c. And to be brave and stick it out. It'll be okay.
