Billy Talent: Red Flag Meaning
Song Released: 2006
Red Flag Lyrics
The red flag wavin' never meant the same,
The kids of tomorrow don't need today,
When they live in the Sins of Yesterday.
Well I've never seen us act like this,
Our only hope is in minds of...
-
I honestly think that the song is about how the things kids have done, have stereotyped us all. Hence the phrases in the song "Our only weapons are the guns of youth," and "like a madman/needs a martyr." Both Relating to school shootings such as Columbine or W.R Myers (a shooting that took place in Alberta only eight days after Columbine.)
-
Machs, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this page is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no stars, and may God have mercy on your soul.
-
This song is all about the imminent return of the socialism ("red flag")
-
The only one of these interpretations that actually has anything to do with the song is the first one. and to the dumbass who thinks the song has something to do with this world cup, the song was written not only before to world cup but before they were Billy Talent, and about the soccer, THE BAND IS CANADIAN THEY PLAY HOCKEY!
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
how does this have anything to do with soccer?
