   Going by the fact that the Wretched and Divine record is about a rebellion, I think the song is about what happens when you win, and what comes afterwards: a new world, the rebirth of society - New Year's Day if you will.

   I think that this song is somehow their way of saying we went through the same and trust me it ends. And also I thought that they are counting from 5-1 to show its a new year try not to make the same mistakes as last year. Or that time goes by and if the problems don't get solved by themselves find a way to make the problems into something better for you bcas at the end of the day only what you made of that day matters or wat you made of that year matters. An amazing song!!

   I think it means that if your being "bullied" that youre not alone and that there are people who care and what not "stand up we are united" is very inspiring for those who think about ending the gift of life.

   Ehm, i just found that accidentially and think u are not quite right. I know this answer comes way too late but i had a thought on it:
   
   This song is full of Civil-Rights-Stuff.
   So the phrase "Let the eagle fly"- is a Song by one of the most popular Civilright strugglers. Far more this analogy proves right in some more phrases. With this knowledge i think u should re-interprete this song ;)

   I think this song is about finding a voice and staning up to any one in your way "Stand up we are united" Suggest that all people that are bullied are the same, and should stand together and stand up for them selfs, as the line "And we're not scared of you" Shows that they arn't scared anymore, and the line "In the eyes of the greatest storm" shows that they are huge compared to the bullies! Overall, great song, fits the film "Legion Of the Black" :')

   I think this song is about the fact that every day is a new day. Not just a new year. It's when we can choose to face the problems, difficultes,and challenges in our life. When we can start again with a "clean slate" and change.
