Black Veil Brides: Wretched And Divine Meaning
Song Released: 2013
Wretched And Divine Lyrics
I am what could have been
The dreams you talk about,
Now left on broken skin
Here lies hysteria,
A land where chaos reigns
Global Disturbia,
Bows down to twisted ways.
A world of hate awaits
We are The Wild Ones
They...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think that this song is about, no matter how broken, different or fucked up you are, you should be proud of being yourself instead of trying to be someone else to fit in. If people can't accept you for who you are, then Fuck Them! You don't need their approval as long as you know who you are on the inside.

I think its just saying that your not alone and even though the world pushes you down and can attempt to ruin you, you shouldn't let them cause in reality everyone is different. no two people are the same. Wretched and Divine is just say that no one is better then another ant that's something some people tend to over look.

I think this song directly refers to a world where revolution against a globalist scocity is the sole fuel of chaos and distraction of humanity. They may not refer to the globalist scocity, however they do talk about the distraction of revolution by saying things like, "here lies hysteria. A land where chaos raging." Now this song definitely encaurages revolution and it is used as a way to rile people up so that they respond to a world takeover in a chaotic and violent way. We can see other examples of this sort of public influence in manny other midea platforms such as movies, music and books. This song also gives a shoutout to other forms of public influence by saying, "a hopefull hero's speech won't stop the years you bleed" these lyrics are referring to inspirational speeches we often see from the protagonists in a story. BvB is saying that these inspirational pep talks will further fuel the fire and distraction of sivilization, which is ironic because that's exactly what this song is trying to do. Prepair is to distory ourselves when someone pretends that they want to implement a new world order. As good as the song sounds, it's part of a mechanism that leads us toward revolution and ultimately, distraction of humanity.

Wretched and Divine, my favourite BvB song.
I see it as an empowerment song, saying that all the members of the BVB Army can, and will rise against the ones who hate you. Because in the BVB Army, we are together and we fight together.
The people at wherever you are (Lets say school) who think you're weird or fucked up. It's a song that tells you that they aren't worth your time, and that you don't need them.
Zelda, out. -
It's awesome they talk about how we are all different no matter what so who cares what they say about us the can go fuck themselves.
-
I always thought it sounds more like a unity song and BvB's way of saying that "We're (them and their fans) all weird but we're proud and that we are all an army, so fuck everyone who thinks we're strange" kind of ya know? Like they're writing an anthem for all of the fans and that it's BVB's song to them XD

I watched all the videos that Andy did explaining his songs in W&D and he said this about Wretched and Divine: "Its written from the perspective of someone who's in this moment of choice whether or not they're going to stand up and be something or they’re going to back down and it sorta speaks about being the one who feels chosen and being the one who despite what they say is going to rise up". How can you not love BVB after this? All their songs have so much emotion and feelings in them :) I love BVB <3
