Feed The Wolf Lyrics

I can feel the animal within
I chain the beast and crawl inside myself
I hear the call of violence
I sleep no more and die again
I've lost it all

Carry me through this world alive
I feel no more, the suffering
Bury me in this cold...

Its about feeding the darker side of yourself. You try and keep it locked up inside, but eventually you give in and it begins to consume you.

I came across an article about Dean Yeong about internal struggle and having to feed 2 wolves inside you. The 1st one is your lazy side and the 2nd is your motivated more apt to get up and do something side. It talks about feeding both but staying more with the 2nd because it's more satisfying and keeps you on track

Its meaning for me is this.

You are no longer the sheep, nor the normal person having to deal with the day to day horrible situations. Or perhaps you were abused.......and now you've given up. You can no longer be good in a world where it's looking more bad than normal-good...now you must become the wolf...the very thing you've come to hate or fear you now are....the wolf....feed it....

I think it's about giving into the urges we have that we know we shouldn't. Stifle the conscience telling us it's a bad idea. Instead, feed the Wolf, our sins, our sources of guilt and shame.
