Bring Me the Horizon: Happy Song Meaning
Song Released: 2015
Happy Song Lyrics
Spirit, let's hear it
S.P.I.R.I.T.
Spirit, let's hear it
Let's go!
I've had enough
There's a voice in my head
Says I'm better off dead
But if I sing along
A little fucking louder
To a happy song
I'll be alright
You...
-
i think that it mes how much pain your are going through and u cant handle it anymore
-
happy song is about how everything has gone wrong, and where everything is is against you, and even you doubt yourself and feel like you aren't good enough "there's a voice in my head / says ik better off dead" and how you want to just give in to the darkness and lose, but instead you can try and forget about your problems and get away from things, "but if i sing along a little fucking louder to a happy song i'll be alright". and how sometimes you feel particularly depressed and you want to get help but you're just too lost and you feel like no one can help you. you come to the realization that maybe everyone feels alone and in the darkness "we are possessed, we're all fucked in the head, alone and depressed-". and even at the end of the world if you just forget what happening, you'll be fine "the world had coalesced"-"and pretend it's all okay". and they finish the song the same way the start it with the ironic term "that's the spirit" also the name of the album
