Bring Me the Horizon: Oh No Meaning
-
It’s about addiction. You can tell from the first few lines. “You’re chewing off my ear while you’re chewing on your chin.”
What really brought me to that conclusion was hearing several lines throughout the song, and I’m a former addict so it hits the nail on the head.
“You’re just off your face
It’s not a state of mind,
Your head’s just in a state
I may be on the outside,
But you’re empty within”
“Now one is too many but it’s never enough.
Don’t tell me you’re happy cause this isn’t love”
“You know you’re in over your head.
Cause you’re holding onto heaven,
But you’re hanging by a thread”
The last one got me, I was so far deep into my addiction, and I knew how close I danced with death, but still continued. -
This is about being in a tough relationship and that possibly that she's cheating on Oli from the lyrics "you don't have to lie I know exactly where you've been" it's like saying I know where you've been you've been at his house cheating, Oli also says "this isn't love so be careful what you wish for" saying that he doesn't want to be in a relationship and to watch out what's coming for her
