    I also think that clown references as well as the reference to carnival is referring to Insane Clown Posse. Around about the time this album Em had massive beef with ICP so it makes sense.

    Em is definitely referring to all the bad so-called rappers taking up all the spots in the mainstream hip-hop scene. I also take the line from the chorus referring to "clowns" as a reference to Insane Clown Posse. I don't know this for sure but it fits to my point of view.

    I think this song is Pretty much to say that Eminem is Tired of the "clowns" that are trying to rap. Eminem was in rehab and wrote this to say that he is back to save hip hop. He compares the situation of hiphop With Gotham before Batman and Robin "save IT", Batman Being Eminem and Robin Being Dr. Dre
