Eminem: Kim Meaning
Kim Lyrics
Aww look at daddy's baby girl
That's daddy baby
Little sleepy head
Yesterday I changed your diaper
Wiped you and powdered you.
How did you get so big?
Can't believe it now your two
Baby you're so precious
Daddy's so proud of...
-
This song is about how Eminem felt after he found out his wife cheated on him."HOW COULD YOU LET HIM SLEEP IN OUR BED!" :)
-
while it is pretty damn obvious it's about killing his wife, the background behind it is this (in order) :
-They got divorced
-Kim kept Hailie (daughter he's talking to at the begining)
-Eminem wants to see his daughter but ends up getting furious at Kim.
-Marshall getting mad at how she stays with her new husband and just treats Marshall like yesterday's news without any remorse.
-Apparently Kim killed her step son and her husband too
-Eminem is pissed, Kim dies.
True backstory Eminem will never tell? -
lol i love this song it's 1 of my fav by him & makes me laugh SO hard XD anyway it's talking about how he was really mad at kim but how he really does love her.
-
eminem cheated on kim when he was 18, but the got over it and a few years later when they have a baby (Hailie), Kim cheated on Eminem during their shitty relationship and he loses himself (get it?) therefore he fucks Kim up and slashes her throat, which is why he shouts "BLEED, BITCH! BLEED!" and drags her through the woods to his car which is why you can see her body in his trunk on the cover of the Slim Shady LP. love how everything links together.

The song is clearly about Kim cheating on em and this is how he let out what he was feeling and what he WANTED to do to Kim. This song is genius because he takes his anger and thoughts and also what kim said to rhyme everything. One fucked up song, but a good one.

Really mad at kim for obvious reasons but also he doesnt say living in this world he says whurl he is in downward spiral that he is screaming at the kim side of himself for still being like her and always thinking of her.
Her is also a metaphor for the drug that sits on the mirror between him and his other side omg I love you how could you do this to me...... Or the way you make me feel m.j. -

I think it's an outlet for his rage, but I think he REALLY shouldn't have had that put on record. Maybe sing it to himself in the shower or something, because that song is just as graphic as an R rated movie.
-
I look at 'Kim' as an anger management tool for Eminem when he wants to yell just to be heard, physically act out to be seen, etc. At one point, anger gets so consuming that you need to let it out. This is his anger coming out in a burst, just as it did in 'Go to Sleep' and ''97 Bonnie and Clyde' His anger and confusion he flet that was caused by Kim's cheating on him manifested itself in ways many don't want to understand.
-
Basically this song is what he felt at the time,
he was so enraged that he felt like doing the things in this song although he knew that he wouldn't it is a way of eminem expressing this anger.
This song was controversial but if you listen to the lyrics and how he makes the screaming between him and kim somewhat rhythimic it is actually genious! -
Portrays the furthest extents of male jealousy through the circumstances of an actual relationship.
-
This song is just creepin' about. Basically just what he wishes he would've done to Kim. I personally think both of them are pretty f**ked up in the head, but Em's been through a lot. He went to rehab and got help, he's still a bit psycho, but he's a good guy. Can't blame him for being mad and can't blame her for being traumatized. Imagine what Hailie's feeling.
