Eminem: My Darling Meaning
My Darling Lyrics
Yeah, look
If I were to rap about the crap that's out
That's the route you probably want me to take
Cos your just dying to know what I think
And my take on some other bitches
If I was to say somethin' bout' Paul Wall...
-
It's about his evil side tempting him to go back on his old addiction to drugs. If you look up to verse 2,the part that says"But i already killed you!".Obviously he could't kill the devil, could he?No,it's about him getting out of his dark place and his darker character,"Slim Shady" tryin' to to keep him there.
-
its illuminati,it talks about selling your soul to this rap game, the rap game is the devils game for getting him rich and fame!!
-
i think it's not about drugs cuz devil mentioned:But shady we were meant for each other!
Think about your mother!
em:Yeah so what of her ?
devil:Think about what she did to you and your little brother!
All them foster homes! -
The other voice in the song is not a reference to drugs. are you crazy? how can you pray to drugs for a record deal? He sold his soul to Satan. He said "you sold your soul to me." He even said in one of his songs that he did it. And there is not a devil inside every human. Nonsense. people are evil by nature.
-
the song has nothing to do with the Illuminati any similarity to Illuminati is purely coincidental in reality the song is of the demons of his past not the devil but yes he dose mention selling his soul to the devil the check 123 stands for 666 it is true but 666 is the mark of your loyalty so satin not satin himself.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

The deep voice talking to him in the song is the 'devil'. He sold his soul to get famous and rich and got the perfect life, but now the devil wants to take him. Eminem is trying to get out, but he simply cant because he already did the deed. And this is what illuminati is all about. Most mainstream artists are apart of it. It is how Michael Jackson died, tupac and some ex american presidents. The devil gets the famous people to join so they can control us. Through subliminal advertising, the food we eat, what we listen to, movies, Everything. The government is a big part of this too. They want to control everything we do. Look up subliminal advertising in youtube and you will see whats happening. The government is lying to us and before you know it, we will be in controlled security housing, like jail. The new world order is happening, soon.

Umm. you guys are looking WAAAAY too far into this. It's Marshall Mathers fighting with his alter-ego Slim Shady. Listen to his albums and you'll know what I say is truth.

The Illuminati theory and the devil theory are both technically correct. Eminem's involvement in the Illuminati involved selling his soul to the Devil in exchange for popularity in the music industry. Now he wants out of this deal. So, he is given the biggest alter ego in rap: Slim Shady. Once Em realized how bad this deal really was, he tried to "kill" Shady, or get rid of his demon, and by extension leaving the Illuminati. As the song shows, he was unsuccessful. This takes us now into Not Afraid, where he says he's facin' his demons, and again trying to leave the Illuminati. However, other tracks on Recovery, as well as the recent Shady 2.0 Cypher, suggest he has failed again, or is at least having a major struggle.

i dont think this song has to do with the devil its about his drug problem just saying but the 123 =6 parts had me thinking
-
theirs a devil in every single human being. obviously their is no such thing as a physical "devil" that will torture us physically with flames. The devil in this song and in everybody elses lives who are facing a demon fucks with you mentally. If you really sit down and understand the bible you can clearly understand that the people who wrote the bibal left so many mesages explaing that the devil are humans them self. The reason why eminem is such a lyrical genious, as just with the bibal theirs so many hidden messages in his songs/ quoutes that it will take centeriues to actually fully understand him.

Drugs = Devil
Drugs and the Devil are the same. They both go into your conscious and mess up your judgmental thoughts. In this case Em is fighting drugs/devil, physically and spiritually.
Evidence: Prohibition of 1920 in the United States shows that drugs are the Devil symbolically.
Political Cartoon in Relevance to the Prohibition of 1920 :

Political Cartoon Analysis: The snake symbolizes the Devil and it is coming out of the drug trying to take over the man in the cartoon. Picture the man being Em, the drugs/devil are trying to take over Em. -
my interpretation is that this is about his past drug problem, and it is the drugsthat are talking in the demon voice with a possible devil undertone (a few examples mentioned earlier)... "look a little closer, isn't that us on that poster" i think this is talking about the relapse album cover (being the poster) and how if you "look a little closer" it is obviously pills and drugs in a collage to look like em. thats my take on it
-
I'm sure for one that he want's out and he is not the only one!For example DMX - Lord give me a sign.People don't be blind, the evil exist and it's in the music industry ,that is the meaning - to watch and hear it every single day. This song is to open our eyes and see the darkness of the stars. They sold their souls to the Illuminati (devil prayers). Some people said that they have powers like telepatic and do some rituals-what a fuckers ,but they are not immortal.
