Five Finger Death Punch: Sham Pain Meaning
Song Released: 2018
Sham Pain Lyrics
You'd think it would have changed me but I've always been the same
My label tried to sue me, TMZ tried to screw me
Blabbermouth can fuckin' suck it 'cause they never fuckin' knew...

You have defied odd's and reached success, but others were hoping you would fail, they are not happy for you, but would still like a slice of your pie.

I think it means it’s a song to explain the trials that being famous brings along with it people hating him, and saying he “Can’t complain.” But he says “I hate riding on the bus, hate flying on the plane. Sedate myself just to kill the pain.” So I think this song was made during the near break up of the band due to the fact that people don’t understand the stress of his job. People think being famous is easy but with it can bring unnecessary attention and rumors. Just my two cents.

Sham means fake i.e. its not real. He is living the good life so the pain he sings about is a sham.
-
I live by one motto...
"FUCK EVERYONE!!!"
!That applies to those "everyones" that live their lives waiting and much wanting to see you fail. It all stems from that one little word.
Yep,you guessed it......."JEALOUSLY"!!
There is only room for one when you're on the top and the best. It's sad but true...Instead of being happy for someone (even if they say they are), they are watching and waiting for you to fail. That's what this song is all about. The word "shampain" means to inflict pain in a civilized way. Is that not what people are doing when they are "aiding and abeting" to help bring the failure??
Dont let them tear you down or break you. Live your life for you and those you love!! Remember...Stars can only shine in the dark!
