    I feel this is about who he was in 1D and who he is now. He was put on display and in a manner that wasnt "him" (the stage, the chairs over them as if an insect display, the people (life) passing him by...)
    The blue is who he was, and the red is who he is. He first tries to run after that version of himself because its who he's known he had to be. But the red him stops running after that unattainable him because he realizes that who he is as himself, is good enough. He starts to flourish and be happy at the end, as himself.

    Hey , maybe Im wrong but here is my opinion :

    this song has a deep meaning for Harry , its about his childhood and bout his relationship with his dad .
