   It's actually about his stp father dealing with cancer who died recently, it's quite abvious if you listen closely,
   "there's no antidote for this curse" no medicine against cancer
   "i've been praying I never did before" praying that he'll get better even though he's never been that religious
   "almost over, had enough from you" knowing that his time is coling soon
   "there's no water inside this swimming pool" losing hope that he'll win the fight

   Its about harrys step father robin having to deal with cancer.

   wanting to know whats going on with robin
   "i need something, tell me something new"
   he wants to hear an answer besides that robin in fact does have cancer
   "choose your words, cause theres no antidote for this curse"
   speak wisely because you never know when your last time speaking will be the last time.
   "must this hurt you, just before you go"
   he doesnt want robin to be in pain
   "tell me something i dont already know"
   he wants to hear new answers, and not hear about the cancer

   Ever Since New York is mainly on Harry’s stepdad Robin Twist. “ Choos your words cause there’s no antidote for this curse. Oh, must this hurt you just before you go. ” refers to when Robin was diagnosed with cancer. Harry had a serious but close relationship with his stepdad for a long time. He was always there for Harry when he was at work or taking time off back home in the UK.
