Jason Mraz: You and I Both Meaning
You and I Both Lyrics
Oh things are gonna happen naturally
Oh taking your advice and I'm
Looking on the bright side
And balancing the whole thing
But often times those words get tangled up in...

It’s about two highschool friends that talked and talked and talked all the time ..and they were always secretly in love with each other ..but it never quite materialized because the boy found someone else just when the girl realized she was in love with him ... So over the years they wrote to each other and kept in touch .. and spoke about his brother who they both loved who wound up a drug attic and landed in jail ... His wife couldn’t and wouldn’t have any part of the situation .. so he ran to her because she loved his brother as much as he did .. but all the words in the world couldn’t help his brother and couldn’t bring him back to her .. so she had to let it all go. And she was finally out of words .. although he knows if he ever needs her - she’ll be there for him .

The boy used to be involved, connected with a girl that he was madly in love with. After sometime, he learned she has found someone else. He is now letting her go and is finally free. However, the video is the opposite. The boy and girl got together in the end. Music meaning is visible at wikipedia.
For the recent post, I believe those who experienced dating, love relationships, would be happy for the person who didn't choose them. That's the right thing for those people who have experienced loving each other.

Spinster -
A guy who is absolutely still crazy about a girl he used to date. That one girl he’ll always love. And he’ll be happy for her if she finds new love that lasts forever because he knows that if you love someone, you want them to be happy no matter what...even if they don’t choose you.

It's a song about two small town girls that fell madly in love with each other- they eventually fell apart & started new lives...without the another. --

I think that two people talked about love a lot. They talked about how much they loved each other and what that love meant to them and loved talking about LOVE. I think people in a relationship, especially a new one, who are feeling very strong emotions, can sometimes feel like their love is different than anyone else's. It can feel almost like they're alone on their own island, so they marvel about how great it is with each other. Love can't sustain itself on the euphoria of words alone. I think there had been a break and the singer has been reaching out and not getting anything back. It can't be a one-way conversation for long before you finally run out of words. He doesn't know what to say except, he'll be there if she ever decides to call and talk.

Loving someone and letting go. Letting them go but still loving and trying to be ok with the loss. Maybe still a flicker of hope "almost out of words" means their not completely out of words. Although their starting to accept that it will probably never be especially with no effort.

Personally, I interpret the song this way.
A guy and girl break up. There were no fights, no arguments, they just agreed that they no longer worked. And this song is the story of their relationship, and how the guy is fine with it ending, because he cherished it while it lasted. -
Jason Mraz actually said (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xyliq-9wgrQ) It was about a girl who woke up to make her boyfriend eggs, but the guy thinks she has left forever. This song is in his perspective.
