Marianas Trench: Fallout Meaning
Fallout Lyrics
I'm empty too
And everything reminds me of you
So many things
I shouldn't have missed
The more that I push
And the more you resist
It's easy to say it's for the best
When you want more
While you leave me with...

It about a break up, and how you feel torn down and heart broken afterwards. Once your ex moves on and finds someone else, you get jealous that it isn't you.

This song is most likely about a breakup.
After his lover left, the room (could be any room really, but I'm guessing it's someplace he's in often, like the living room or his bedroom, no perverted implications intended) he's in seems to be just as empty as he feels. Everything serves as a reminder of the person he loves; his mind is sort of being haunted by said person. He's reflecting on their relationship and all the things he should have noticed; he wishes he'd realized sooner that things were going wrong. The more he seeks his ex-lover, the more he gets pushed away.
He knows that his love has found someone else, but he's still stuck in the past and wishes they were still together. Whenever the two see each other, it's obvious that while he's a wreck, she's moved on and is fine, or at least pretending to be so.
In the second verse, I think he's saying how his lover moved (through his eyes) quickly on to "him", the new person. He feels like he's given everything he had to his love, only to wind up with heartbreak and "replacement" ("the more that I give and the less that I get). Also, he feels like after fighting to hold on to his love for so long, he shouldn't have to anymore; he feels that he's worked very hard to keep their love alive and (might, not too sure on this one) have wanted to see some effort from the other party.
So basically, he's suffering a lot from a breakup, while his ex seems not to be having trouble getting over him. It's frustrating to him ("you're so goddamn polite and composed") but he doesn't know what to do or how to change it. ... I love this song so much <3
