i think its about attachement issues and maybe melanie has grown up with no one to turn to.

It's one of Melanie's first songs, we know that. I think it's about her liking a guy, but she can't have him for some reason. So, she starts to become a tiny bit obsessed with him. ("Baby I think I'm crazy over you").
