Tag You're It Lyrics

Looking at me through your window
Boy, you had your eye out for a little
"I'll cut you up and make you dinner
You've reached the end, you are the winner"

Rolling down your tinted window
Driving next to me real slow, he said,
"Let me...

It's about when crybaby goes to throw away her decorations(after pitty party) and decides to get some ice cream. But the big bad wolf drugged it so crybaby passes out. Then he drags her in to his truck and takes her to is cave.(milk and cookies) the big bad wolf has command crybaby to make cookies and she poisons them (with the stuff the clerk gave her in tag you're it) and escaped.

If I'm honest, I think that it's about a teenager/young adult who has a dark backstory. A fear follows her through life, causing her to be deluded. She conjectures that she is still being stalked and attacked, and her scattered mind makes her feel the pain. She is trapped in her own head and at the end everything is too much for her to take- she kills herself.

"Looking at me through your window
Boy, you had your eye out for a little" the way i see that verse is that the boy had been stalking her for a little while now and that she knew it."Rolling down your tinted window
Driving next to me real slow, he said
" I've got some candy for you inside" This verse makes me think that he is trying to lure her in and when she says "Let me take you for a joyride"
It almost sounds like hes a rapist/sex offender. Basically the song is about how CryBaby has been followed by this man and how hes trying to lure her in and when he does lure her in hes taken her away somewhere underground and shes screaming out for help and trying to get away.

I feel like someone or something is chasing her but that thing keeps on coming back to haunt her and it is turning her crazy.

This is a statement to the rape culture in American society. It is such a common occurance it is like a game. Everyone knows it is going on but no one will "hear" about it. She is not allowed to speak because of his actions. It is showing our glorified ignorance of a very ugly part of society.

Tag, You're It is about a little girl walking home from the grocery store and being followed by the "ice cream man(or wolf)". The Wolf is stalking her and catches her attention. He offers her a free ice cream cone, and she takes it. However, the ice cream was drugged. Cry Baby passes out and the Wolf drags her into his truck. From the lyrics, we can infer that Cry Baby is trapped in some form of lair, and that the Wolf is a sex offender or trafficker.

I think that a guy is stalking her, he says all the stuff about "if you come with me you'll get candy," and obviously the little girl follows him into the van, and gets kidnapped. She makes a story of an almost-rape and poisoning like a simple game of tag, and maybe she's trying to express most girls' fears in one of her brilliant songs (and maybe her fear too). I'm not sure if this would be correct or not, so please don't hate.

Melanie is known for songs make a whole story... like in Pacify her she is talking about how she wants blue boy and then is Mrs.Potatoe head she is talking about maybe if she gets plastic surgery blue boy will love her. This song leads on from pity party where she went to go throw away her decor and went to go buy ice cream and the big bad wolf kidnapped her and in milk and cookies she kills her kidnapper with poisoning the cookies and giving him spoiled milk

If we clean all sort of love or sex sort of sick things and focus how Melanie made this song ,I feel like she is trying to describe that part of her life when she was own trapped inside the demons of her own mind, her bad mind being the wolf stopping her to reach her goals ( or by being too proud as mentioned in the lyrics"You reached till here you are the winner").Its evident in the video where head(brain) was imprisoned inside the glass with the same background where the wolf was there(not having control over her mind, lack of focus)or by the lyrics"you're saying,"Tag you're it..."(I mean how could that wolf say the same words which crybaby herself was saying?)
