Owl City: Fuzzy Blue Lights Meaning
Fuzzy Blue Lights Lyrics
From California to New Jersey
Then I would count the parks and lake resorts
And number all the jets and airports
All those rather dreary rain clouds still bother me
Cuz I look through the camera eyepiece...

I think it's called 'Fuzzy Blue Lights' because blue is a color that is harder to see (https://www.thenakedscientists.com/articles/questions/why-are-blue-lights-harder-see). It's like he's singing about a girlfriend/friend leaving and how he feels like it was all a blur and that he doesn't know why.

I think the name "Fuzzy Blue Lights" comes from when you cry and look at lights they become "fuzzy".

I can't help but think that this song is about how big the world is, and how easy it would be for someone to let go and forget.
Maybe the singer went on a trip without their lover, and is hoping they won't leave them while they are away.
Or, it could just be Adam dreaming, and thinking about his girl or a close friend at the same time.
No mater what the meaning of this song, it's one of my favorites :) -
i'm assuming this is all taking place in his imaginary world, with her in it.
he might be saying how he doesn't wanna let her go, in this big, confuzing and beautiful world. this would make him feel sad, upset, etc. he would feel depressed and out of place if she walked out on him. he's also saying he would feel alone if he wasn't with her and he saw her somewhere else, that didn't involve them being together.
however, he is saying that if HE were to leave her, on a plane, he would somehow feel reassured if he saw she was waving good bye to him. he'd feel like she wouldn't forget about him, and that she cares. knowing this would reassure him, and he wouldn't make him feel all that sad sad when he's gone. cause he knows that she cares about him and wouldn't forget him. also, that she would be there for him anytime.
