Owl City: The Real World Meaning
The Real World Lyrics
Peel up off the street
Take wing on the balmy breeze
And sweep you off your feet
And you blushed as they scooped you up
On sugar maple wings
To gaze down on the city below
Ablaze with wondrous things
Downy...

I don't know much about Adam Young's personal life, but it seems that this song is about a beautiful woman. He is watching her fall asleep, and he is slowly falling asleep himself. He realizes that his lovely dream world has everything he wants, including his beloved right next to him. As he contemplates the dream world, he states he would never wake if he had the choice.
This song is really fun to listen to. Like most of Young's stuff, it's a break of contemplation with a catchy tune.
