Paramore: Idle Worship Meaning
Idle Worship Lyrics
Don't hold your breath, I never said I'd save you, honey
And I don't want your money

I think it’s about someone who doesn’t want to carry someone through life because they are dealing with shit of their own. What I get from the song is that this person is seen as stable and in a better place but they don’t want to be relied on to help pick someone else back up when they are trying to get through life with their own shit and sometimes need to be picked up themselves. We live in a world where people only want to take and have someone else help them without giving anything in return and this song is this persons way of saying no because I want to take care of myself first and not put others before me.
