Monsters Lyrics
Good for you, you fooled everyone
Good for you, now you're somebody
Good for you, you fooled everyone
Leave your weapon on the table
Wrapped in burlap, barely able

My interpretation of monsters is my inner monsters they are my anxiety and depression. And they are hiding in the dark and they can strike at any moment of time. They have been known to push people away and make me do things that I regret.

Spousal abuse. He is the monster.

For me, my monsters are within, they're the memories that can't be forgotten, the stains on my soul. Reliving moments over and over, only to feel the pain all over again.
You're not forgotten, I remember everything, even when I wish I couldn't. -
I’m the one that’s the monster and I created the madness in him.

Everyone has their own demons. This dong can address your own personal demons.

My monsters are my stepdad, who sexually abused me at 13. Those monsters are real and never stay gone. I can barely heal, let alone live.

I'm a child abuse survivor and come from an alcoholic home. My monsters sadly enough are still real even though the people are not there anymore.

My son loved showdown. He died a year ago at age 19. This song for me has real meaning as my monster is struggling daily with his absence and my broken heart.

I really find some rawness to my life and this song. I know as a Combat Wounded Corpsman in Iraq from 2006, this song has a real impact on me and as the Vietnam Vet stated above, I have shared "Monsters" as well. Without the lyrics, it speaks well on Isolation, Pushing everyone away, the pain, the hardness, the rawness, and feeling irrelevant, No longer armed with your weapon to be pound for pound ready to deal with an enemy, Being considered unstable and probably drugs and alcohol. Combat PTSD is well stated in this song and the music and sound are amazing. I know my Monsters are real! Check out "Combat Vet Vision" on Sitchraidio.com "Strength and Honor"
